Hey guys. Anyone want a 50% off coupon for Crusader Kings 2?
No idea why I have it, but it's there in my inventory.

There was a thread a while ago. I think it sank because everybody gave those away and nobody wanted any.

:P Ah, okay. If everyone's already got the game I guess it'll just sit there.
PM me or something if someone actually wants it.

It's more like Paradox flooded every single Steam user with at least one coupon. Seriously, everyone has one.

I don't. Not like I needed one though.

La-Mulana is on sale for 90% off, probably in celebration of the kickstarter for La-Mulana 2.

Its a great metrovania game with some annoyingly obscure puzzles.  If you can get past the frustration of the obscure puzzles(or don't mind resorting to a FAQ once in a while), then I really recommend it.  :)

90 per... goddammit, I'm not supposed to be spending this money, you monsters. But now I must. Why did I open this thread, what was I thinking.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Fucking do it, guys
I have severe love and hate for this game, and I've only played it for 4 hours.
If you regret spending the $1.49, there is something very wrong with you.
(Of course, regretting ever touching "that fucking game" is another matter~)

Yeah its really great.  It does have some ridiculous flaws that WILL make you hate it, but its still a great game imo.  Took me 94 hours to finish, and I managed to look up a hint for a puzzle only twice.  :P

Knights of Pen and Paper is on sale now... Looks interesting and fun as an idea, but how does it play? Is it worth buying?

The idea is funny for a while, plays pretty much like a standard slash and hack, except your guys are playing... which is totally irrelevant except for flavor.

At the beginning it's ok, then it drags to a near halt and you have to grind the same place dozens of times just to get enough XP/upgrades/whatever to be able to travel to the next area.

Its also got microtransactions, which was why I never bought it.  Thought it was a bit offensive that they try to get you to pay twice.

I got about 50 euros. I don't know what to spend them on - I'm really keen on DayZ, but as it is I won't be able to run it at anything higher than the lowest of the lowest possible settings, and that's probably 15-20 fps still. Rust also sounds nice, but I'm not entirely convinced I should pick that up. Any other good, possibly multiplayer games?

Well that's quite a turn-off. Glad I asked before buying.

All versions on all OS's have this. It's quite insulting.

Kinda hard to give you a suggestion for "a good game" given how people favour different genres. I'd go ahead and say IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946 and a joystick, but chances are you're not gonna enjoy that :P Have a look at King Arthur's Gold, maybe?
