PoE is the masterrace of action-rpg, I will have no disrespect !
Online Action-RPG, thankyouverymuch. :)

I'd really much rather play by myself, and not have to keep an internet connection up. To say nothing of having yet another account somewhere.

Before Path of Exile got greenlighted (that is, before it got patched a ton), TL2 was probably the most polished Diablo-II-type game. Now that there's Path of Exile? And it's free? Sort of. It's got its own things going for it, it's still polished, it's pretty darn good, but PoE is also great... and... you know... free.
Uh-huh. As free as you make it, that is. There hasn't yet been conceived a bigger money sink than free-to-play games are. Torchlight, though? Pay for it once, and it's yours - all of it.

The only thing Path of Exile really charges for are cosmetic storage or additional tabs for storage in your chest. You have 4 storage tabs to start with, each covering an area of 12x12, which provide a massive amount of storage each. Personal inventory is 5x12 which feels to be about the same as Diablo 2 had. I ran a character through all the acts and I did not ever have a problem with storage. They said that they will never introduce P2W content or anything that might give an advantage, which they said included xp enhancers and things that would affect drops. Frankly, its the best f2p model Ive seen where the creators actually make a money off selling stuff that does not effect the game.

Can you mod it? Didn't think so.

Get tired of vanilla Torchlight 2? Add some dungeon mods and some new classes/pets and go to town.

News: Different people want different things from different games.

*ahem* HEYYYY Typing of the dead is on sale! What a kooky, zany idea!

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Exactly. Path of Exile was brought into the thread when someone mentioned things that it does better than Torchlight 2. I respond with something that Torchlight 2 does better.

Is Steam down or something? I cannot log into it, and I cannot open the support website on Chrome either.

E: Nevermind, I remembered the www.issteamdown.com. Yep, it's down.

I'm getting a serious itch for Foot-to-ball Manager 2014. Has anyone seen it on sale recently? Do the FM games ever hit sales? Anyone have a spare copy lying about? *rolls up pants leg*

What I've heard is that's it's kind of like FIFA, but with all of the fun bits removed.

I dont see it that way. Its more of a simulation game though so if you are looking for a game like FIFA you wont find it...they are totally different games and genres only connected by the fact that they are both football/soccer games

So. Nidhogg is out on Steam and at 20% off. Looks promising, and I used to watch gameplay videos earlier in development, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Anyone?

I would have considered picking it up, if it weren't primarily a multiplayer dueling game. I don't exactly play multiplayer all that often, to say nothing of playing gamepad games (part of that is just not having a decent portable gamepad).

I'd say if you have a few friends (or enemies) to play this against, it seems like it could very well be worth it.

So, after procuring a copy fallen from an internet truck and playing it, I decided it was REALLY fun and bought it while it's still 20% off. HOWEVER: EU buyers should buy the game via the game's website/Humble Store (same thing actually), because Steam did their 1 Euro = 1 Dollar thing, so you can buy it cheaper and still get it on Steam.

No idea why I have it, but it's there in my inventory.
