Well, now even the store is down for me. Guess maybe they are being hacked. The rest of the interwebs is working fine.
Just checked, store is working fine for me (AU region).

Seems to be okay now. Not sure if it's hax or just the transition after the sale or what. Hopefully it'll work from now on.

It was just a DDoS, not a hack. Please don't confuse the two, because hacking implies a breach of security and gets people worried about their information while a DDoS on it's own is just a brief disruption of service.

EDIT: Just ignore it, it may be annoying not being able to log in, but these are just kids renting botnets trying to show off their E-peen, and this sort of recognition is exactly what they want.

I don't know enough about it to know what is what. All I know is, during my last chance for certain things, a bunch of assholes made the site not work. Whatever the word is for what they did, I am pretty irritated. It's one thing to crash a site for a little while, but it's another thing to crash a site during the last day of a huge sale. If they want recognition for being douchebags, they got it. Congratulations, douchebags! Everyone hates you! Let us know when you get through puberty and realize there is more to life than getting people to look at you by being a little piece of shit.

Also, Steam really ought to have pushed back the deadline for the badge and the sales, to make up for the attacks. They lost a lot of money by not extending the deadline. I definitely didn't buy stuff I would have.

Some people are going to love this.

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/rpgs/crusader-kings-ii-collection/

As far as I know, the entire Crusader Kings II collection (DLC and all,) for $20, or 12 pounds or 14 euros.

I'm actually going to pick it up myself most likely- I've heard a lot of good things about the game.

I have no idea. As far as I know, GMG doesn't display sale times.

the entire Crusader Kings II collection (DLC and all,)
It doesn't seem to include The Old Gods nor Sons of Abraham (nor any of the associated cosmetic/music DLC).

That's the pack I got for $5 from Amazon. And yeah, none of the newer dlc.

I think it's pretty good. It's basically a Diablo II clone, though I would say it's better than the original.

I myself,  never really been a fan of Diablo-esque games.
So I guess I'll pass on Torchlight II.

Is Torchlight II worth it?
Never played it, and I've barely even heard of it, but it looks good, and the $5 price is tempting me...
Depends on what you compare it to, and what you expect of it. It's definitely a good game, but it's honestly most suited to cooperative play. And it's very, very much an action game. Even if regular mook encounters can mostly be solved as usual, any sort of boss fight will require rapid reactions, especially if you're playing a class other than Engineer.

If you like these kinds of class-locked action-hack'em-ups, you should definitely pick it up.

It's definitely similar to Diablo II (you can even hear similar music in the first act), but it has a much bigger emphasis on strategic use of abilities, and in my opinion it plays a lot better.

Before Path of Exile got greenlighted (that is, before it got patched a ton), TL2 was probably the most polished Diablo-II-type game. Now that there's Path of Exile? And it's free? Sort of. It's got its own things going for it, it's still polished, it's pretty darn good, but PoE is also great... and... you know... free.

Uh-huh. As free as you make it, that is. There hasn't yet been conceived a bigger money sink than free-to-play games are. Torchlight, though? Pay for it once, and it's yours - all of it.
