Dishonored was good at that price.

Stanley Parable is a fun experience, but it doesn't exactly have long legs.

Chivalry: Y/N? (Probably 4 pack to get my friends in on it)
The Stanley Parable: Y/N?
XCOM Enemy Unknown: Y/N? (Without DLC)
Dishonored: Y/N?

Money isn't exactly tight for me, but I feel like I should display some amount of restraint. Maybe.
edit: ninja'd. Oh well, I guess this is irrelevant now. But let's not let a good post go to waste, hm? :)

Can't say anything about Chivalry at all, and I've been hearing good things about Stanley Parable, but never played it. It sounds like it might not be a very replayable game, however.

Dishonored, I have nothing but praise for. Very interesting, very challenging in the right places and with the right self-imposed limits, and generally a good combination of stealth and action. If you have a craving for stealth FPS action, this is what you should get.

XCOM, sans expansion, is quite enjoyable as well, though you honestly miss out on quite a lot without Enemy Within. Even being priced higher than the base game with the smaller discount, EW is quite worth the money, as it adds a lot. If you aren't attracted to the simple niceties of large robots rocket-punching aliens across the road though, Enemy Unknown is still a great tactical game. If you would prefer a game of turn-based tactics to stealth action, XCOM is a great choice.

Eh, Dishonored does have the standard console overprice, but I'd say it's worth its current sale price by far, even if you only get one playthrough out of it (I got 4+). No personal experience with the DLC though.

Probably the Summer sale, though many holidays have smaller sales.

Next major one will likely be the summer sale, but there is usually a smaller spring sale as well.

I suppose I'll have to content myself with the... 60 games I already have until then. Wow. How did I end up with so many games? And why do I still want more?

Am I really the only one who can't get the Steam community site to work at all? It absolutely will not connect or load, even through the Steam platform. I can't see my profile or wishlist or anything.

I had problems with it and the store last night. Not sure if they're ongoing problems as I am phoneposting at the moment.

It's been dead for me also.  IIRC, the snow globe timer was the same as the sale ending, so having a rush after the deadline doesn't make sense.  Maybe the database is just crying under the strain of trimming out all the holiday bits.

Maybe. The store site works fine for me, but the community site is completely dead. Cannot connect even for a second. And I'm trying to download one of the smaller-sized games to play for a little while now, but it keeps fluctuating between 600 kb/s and 500 bytes/s. Strange. Maybe it is more hackers.

Steam's been DDoS'ed recently. Might be under attack again, or just reeling.

I wonder, even if you dislike/hate Steam, what could you possible prove by attacking it? "Look how terrible this distribution platform that is used by millions of people and just recently was giving away a lot of its games at half price and less is! Here, I'll prove it by crashing its servers so its average user that never had any problems with it sees the error of his ways!"

Well, I guess griefers gotta grief.

Steam is persistently quirky for daily rollovers, so my money is on database derpitude.  If it was really a DDOS, I'd think the store side would be getting hit also.

Most "hacking" like this is for teh lulz.

Snowglobe cards expire shortly after the sales end, not the exact same time. They expired ~10 minutes ago.

Well, now even the store is down for me. Guess maybe they are being hacked. The rest of the interwebs is working fine.
