Aaand i get to vote for KAG in the "pick your sale" vote.
Personally i'm sure guacamole will win because it had better coverage (Hai totalhalibut) and will be cheaper.
Also the price cut on KAG is pitful and i assume that's as cheap as it will get during this sale... 33% compared to the "standard" 25% discount.

Mm... not strictly a steam sale, but speaking of standard discounts, Dominions 4 is going for 25% off over on Gamersgate. Only brings it down to about 26 USD (Least on my end), but that's arguably not bad for what it is.

What's everyone's opinion of DayZ? It's not exactly on sale, but I really, really want to play it. Not sure if it's worth buying it though, if the management and hacking prevention is anything like how it was before.

Hacking prevention is better, I believe. Hard to say though since it's an alpha.

And that's really the take home message: it's an alpha on early access and it's EXTREMELY alpha. Zombies walking through walls and floors, that kind of alpha.

Unless you actually want to be a tester, I'd say wait. Because everything I've seen of it so far shows it's very rough. For someone that played a lot of DayZ Mod, seeing the improvements to the systems might be worth buying early. For just about everyone else though, I don't think it's worth it right now.

Personally i'd buy it if i had the money since i like the idea of 2 different factions and a more modern setting.
Take it with a pinch of salt since the only game of hte series i ever played was Anno 1602.

It's a decent game. It's mostly a balancing game of production chains and minmaxing of space for factories. There is WAR (if you enable it during map creation) but by default you get no pirates and only non-warring factions.

I only tested it, because I didn't want to buy it for the TAGES drm thing... I've heard rumours that it has been stealth-patched out by Ubi (still shows as 3rd party DRM in steam). That would be nice I may buy it this time...

I managed to get around the problem of my steam store browser simply not working (same with trying it on google) by using my mobile phone app. It worked well.
