Tell me about LLtQ — it's Princess Maker with hundreds of Bad Ends, right? Are the fail states the actual point of the game? Seeing how things can screw up?
Rock Paper Shotgun just made KRZ their Game of the Year. Congratz. Go read; the piece is well written and doesn't have spoilers.
But $12.50 seems like a lot of money these days. I've been jaded by deep discounts.
Oh, it's a season pass thingy. You'll get the last three episodes when they're done. That's a bit more reasonable, but I generally don't buy games before release.
Still, tempted.
It's okay. It seems deep at first but the illusion fades quickly. It's a pretty linear game in that it branches off a bit much later into the game, but for the most part you'll be replaying the same beginning and middle over and over again. There also aren't hundreds of bad ends. More like.... 20.
Many of the choices and options seem very arbitrary. Then when the magical shoujo girl thing starts coming out you'll be like... "...".
Also, you don't actually do anything beyond acting like a little girl. You don't rule anything. You can't command troops or commit political intrigue. Even when you become a magical girl, you can't actually do anything particularly magick-y.
Hmm... if I were to summarize it, this is a game where trying to look your best for a royal ball is the pinnacle of its depth.
