Let's see. I bought Bionic Dues for autumn, Starbound beta is out, and I won Serious Sam 2 in the megagiveaway. I think I'm covered for a while.

So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Winter sales are rarely better than summer sales, so we'll see how this goes.
Steam's summer sale was pretty good, IIRC, although some people are starting to have all of the good games that regularly go on sale anyway. Personally I'm looking forward to the upcoming sale; maybe Enemy Within will see a discount.
Sadly, I doubt it. A leaked email from Steam reported that the same sales from the Black Friday sale would be reused for the Christmas sale. And Enemy Within didn't get even a tiny discount. I know, I checked twice. :'(

EUIV at 9.99$ at Humble Store. So, 75% off.

Wow that's a great deal! Especially so soon. I have to stop buying games when they are new, they go on sale so quickly these days.

My rule is never buy anything that isn't 75% or more off. Everything gets to that point soon enough. 'Course, if everyone bought like me, the games industry would collapse, and we'd look on in horror at the dystopian Steamscape with nothing but indie/budget games and reasonably modeled free games... wait...

Only times I've ever broken that rule was to buy Silent Hunter 3 and 4, along with Kerbal Space Program.

Thanks for posting that, scrdest! I've been waiting for it to go on sale, and I finally picked up Dust to boot.

Nah, it's called the stegosaurus, or the "spiky long tail". Some games nowadays make more money in their second year than their first, because of this effect.

It'd been dumb luck. A new bundle came up, and while it wasn't particularly interesting for me, I had a hunch to check the Store tab, and whaddya know, EUIV on a damn good sale.

I actually picked it up only now at that sale, myself.

It'd be nice if the humble store also had email alerts (maybe they do, I couldn't find any option for it). It's rare that I'd ask for more spam, but hey, they give some good sales.

Apparently they do, because I just (as in 2 minutes ago) got a Humble Store alert about an 8 hour winter sale.

Whoa - To the Moon is only $5 on GOG right now as part of their current winter sale. And DRM free! I might buy it again, to support them and to get a DRM-free copy... I only have it on Steam...

Look at Step #3 when buying the Humble Bundle. Check the box next to your email address that says "Notify me about future Humble Bundle promotions."
