Evoland is good if you like older Final Fantasy and Zelda games. They're basically selling nostalgia.

I don't really care for turn based combat so I didn't care for it too much. The combat is also very simple compared to the games it's paying homage to. It's also short. I bought it on sale a while ago and I'd say it's more of a $2.50 game than a $5 game.

If someone is interested, Gunpoint has a really refreshing atmosphere. It's not the best of puzzle games, being rather easy and after some time - quite repetitive - but it's worth the money. It does have some great humor.

Just FYI for anyone considering this: use the developer's official site instead. The developer is matching the price of the Steam Sale (so $6 for the next ~6 hours), you get a DRM-free download and a Steam key, and more of the money goes directly to the developer!

So, if I am to get Mount & Blade, what version should I get? (Can't get the complete pack, even though I wanted it, because I'm buying it with money gained from selling the stupid cards.)
Fire & Sword is certainly worth $2.50, but Warband is considered to be the better game. There is almost no point in getting the original. I'd recommend Napoleonic Wars to a history buff of the time period, but not many other people.

Be mindful that the Batman games have Games for Windows Live DRM.

The original still has some mods that will probably be worth the time/cost...
Warband is the best option out of em all, if you can only get one of em, plus mod community is still going fairly strong.

My roommate didn't like it, and he tends to love those kinds of games.

Thank you for the replies, guys. Well, I got Warband and now I'm having this urge to put more money in the wallet and get FE: Legendary Heroes or Dark Souls. Damn this freaking sale, already spent too much money but I can't resist when I see something 75% off. Gotta control myself, but I'll probably end up buying one of these titles or even worse: both.

I have to ask, I've heard bad things about the PC version of Dark Souls. Is it worth it for $7.50?

Still worth it after throwing on some fixes. Note use a controller, it makes life easier a bit

Mm, I don't have a controller, unless a regular 360 controller will work.

It should. IIRC,  it's already got mappings for 360 controllers.

Reverse ninja: what he said. I prefer wired controllers anyway.

Built in wire with USB connector at the end? You're all set. Wire with the funny looking hat thing that clips in to the top of your controller? Charge-n-Play cable that only charges your batteries and doesn't interface with the computer. Wireless controller? You need a wireless adaptor, which will run you about fifteen bucks off Amazon.
Ah, good. I always play wired. :D

Note that some people prefer the mouse and keyboard setup. Don't knock it 'til you try it.

I probably will, but given the sheer volume of... opposition to using M&K I wanted to be sure before I bought it. Because I've seen fewer complaints about using M&K in flight sims.

Dark Souls 1 is, to me, unplayable using the default PC control mapping.
The controller significantly improves that, and any XBOX 360 wired controllers will work. I think a PS3 controller will work just as well.

Of note, the graphics are somewhat inferior to other PC games. If you can get past that (didn't take me long), Dark Souls: PTD is one of the best games I have ever played. I think everyone should play it.

Dark Souls 2 is coming soon enough, and will have proper PC controls.
