Fabulous Deals of the day:
Portal 2 for $5
Fallout: New Vegas: Ultimate for $5

If you're one of the few people remotely interested in these titles but not possessing them, now is the time.
Both also have fantastic community content and heavy support for it.

I'll be picking up Remember Me to gawk at cyberpunk free-climbing, but based on what I've heard I really wouldn't recommend it.

So, ARMA 2. Worth the eight bucks? Is DayZ still a thing? Will the singleplayer content hold my attention?
DayZ is becoming its own thing, so official support is out, though the community is said to be going strongly.
AFAIK the non-DayZ folks are heading to ARMA3.
So, if you feel like being cheap, ARMA2 would definitely be worth the $8. There's still plenty left in it.

If you, like me, have New Vegas but don't have FO3, FO3 is included in the sale.

Oh yeah, same price for FO3 GotY. I tend to forget that New Vegas isn't a direct improvement on 3, the vanilla version just seems to be.

How much power does it take to run Fallout 3 and NV?

Fallout 3 ran slightly faster for me than Oblivion did, so they may have tweaked the engine a little.  I haven't installed New Vegas yet but I'm pretty sure it's the same engine with a few more features.

Yeah, a fair bit of the community still plays ARMA 2, but a lot have moved onto 3 by now.

When ACE and other big mods start coming out for 3, then 2 will start to get a little deserted, I'd wager.

Depends on you, the community is there but they're getting ready to jump to ARMA 3. As for DayZ, it has lots of hackers and most are just waiting for the standalone version now.

Slannesh wasn't even born from the excess of the Eldar then... Did the Imperium even have Psykers???
IIRC the earliest records of Psykers was around M18 so yes unless my memory is horrible wrong.

I think psykers started to emerge from around that time but they were only appearing in any significant numbers by M22.

In case anyone asks, Don't buy impire. I payed full price and I'd still feel cheated at 5 bucks. It'll hold your attention for about half an hour, until you realize how shallow the game really is....
I thought it had a bunch of great features and yet it failed to be a fun game. It's filled with the worst kind of micromanagement.

It did have some interesting ideas, the problem being even on their own, they individually were pretty drab. It looked great on paper however...

Torchlight 2 won the latest vote. I was hoping for Gunpoint, but I'll take what I can get.

Though you should note that getting FO3 to run without crashing on Windows 7 (and probably 8 too, I haven't tried since I upgraded to 8 [and then immediately to 8.1]).  Even without mods it doesn't like 7.  I'd say be ready for a lot of work to get it working, but it's worth it, especially if you go the extra distance to throw in a nice set of mods.

Torchlight was the cheapest of the three. I bet Infestation is next.

I don't get your hostility toward voting for the cheapest game. I think L4D2 was already on sale at least once over the past few days for $5 and Dead Island is "only" going to be 50% off.

Out of all the meh games in the upcoming vote, however, I'm most interested in none of them.

Hostility? Annoyance. Sales on good games, relative to each other, boosts their distribution and supports devs. Cheap copies move, the sale ends, and other people are convinced to buy good games. Infestation is horrible. I'm no fan of the others but they're better games than Infestation.

Torchlight 2 is the new standard for single player ARPG excellence. It blows Diablo 3 out of the water and all of the clones as well, with the possible exception of Path of Exile, which is why I crowned TL2 for single player ARPG. It's absolutely awesome if you like loot, ARPG mechanics, hack and slash or pet featured games. Further, there is a massive community mod that adds a HUGE amount of new content, items, skills, classes, quests, maps, dungeons, etc. In fact, it nearly doubles the already large game.

I can't say it emphatically enough, BUY TORCHLIGHT 2.
