Also, due to a minor mis-communication I accidentally put the game in the Steam sales for 33% off. I'm thinking of actually increasing the price a bit more soon, so now is actually the cheapest you will ever get the game for if you don't already have it.

Kenshi is the cheapest it will be for a very long time.

Caved and got Just Cause 2, meaning that there are now just 5 people in the world who don't have it. It will sit in my Steam list until I can finally acquire a laptop capable of running it.

Also got Surgeon Simulator 2013, Scribblenauts, and Kenshi. This will probably be all I get this summer.

So I got Hotline Miami for $2.50 and it didn't take long for me to get cards which I then sold for $.50. I feel like I could potentially have a self-sustaining game stream with these.

Um. You get a card for every $10 you spend during the summer sale (to a limit). Is that what you're referring to?

I see...

The issue was that the first 2 cards I got were for games I had recently purchased, bioshock infinate and reus. I thought you got a card for owning/purchasing the specific games listed on the card. No idea it was random.

I heard about how great FTL was, and so I bought it when it was... 80% off, I think?

I do not regret the purchase. At all. It is so fun.

Why is Lara Croft not even on the picture of her own summer getaway card?  Sheesh, I couldn't tell what game it was for.

Bought Sleeping Dogs for $10. I'd wanted to try it for a while but the price point had always stopped me.

Biggest coup though is Borderlands 2 Season Pass for $10! Aaaaawwwww yyyyyeeeeeaaaaahhhh. I feel like the Heinz Master Of Waiting For Good Things To Happen. Bought it for myself and a buddy who was at work. To think, 45 minutes more of sleep and I would have missed it.

So, I'm considering getting Bloodbowl for $7.50. Thoughts?

The game is utterly merciless and you will scream in rage while cursing every RNG in existence and sobbing bitter, bitter tears.

Get it. It's fun and silly and the rules are such that even veterans can be surprised by it sometimes.

I'm flip-flopping on whether or not I should pick up the Arcania & Gothic Bundle. I liked what little I played of Gothic 1 and 2. Anyone have experience with 3, Forsaken Gods, or the two Arcania games?

Gothic Complete is DRM free and $6.24 at GamersGate. I heard 3, or maybe it was Arcana, was a mess. Can't remember if I ever played it. Arcania does use SecureROM.

I haven't played Forsaken Gods or the Arcania games. Gothic III however... hm, how to say. It is a huge world to explore set into three different biomes. There are a lot of caves and dungeons to find, lots of things to do and this whole thing involving the villages and towns. The world is very nice to look at and there's plenty to see but (You knew that was coming yes?) combat is a tad iffy with stun locking wolves (Due in part to the fact you can't block animal attacks) and a rather finicky block-counter-swing system and a levelling system similar to Gothic I and II that involves collecting points for training. I haven't actually finished the games main storyline since I found exploring the world more compelling.

It is not a "bad" game, so to say. It's quite playable but don't expect the more complex interactions of groups like in Gothic I.

If you do get Gothic III, there is a community patch that fixes a number of issues with the game, though I did find the community patch made combat more annoying in some regards. No more stun locking wolves, but they now gain immunity to being stun locked themselves if you attack them over and over again, drawing out combat.

I haven't played "Forsaken Gods" but from what I've gathered, it's not a bad game/expansion visually or mechanically, but the story line fell rather short for a lot of people. That's the thing I think, the stories and complexity of Gothic III and Forsaken Gods are generally thought of as being weaker, though still enjoyable for exploration.

Add-on: Arcania I do remember as being more action orientated then Gothic III, and less story driven

I am very tempted to pick up RPG Maker VX, down from £49.99 to £16.99....

Though I'm not sure I have the patience to make my own games with it, and I think it'd likely ruin the play through if I know all possible outcomes!
