You can get borderlands 2 + season pass for $15.00.  The game has some of the best dialog and one of the best villains I've ever seen in gaming.  On the downside their site is really crawling at the moment from all the traffic.

Borderlands 2: The Inventory Management Sim 

I think the borderlands series is one that is best done in co-op otherwise it can get a bit dull. But I'd recommend it if you had a friend to play it with. If you didn't like the first the second doesn't really change things up all that much. It's still a bullet-sponge loot-fest.

Turns out you get separate Steam keys for the base game and the season pass. I already had the base game so now I have a spare. The newish game Dust is on a 50% sale. 2nd most popular sale on Steam currently.

Most popular is Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition at 75% off. Some people like that game, some don't. $5 US if you think you can handle the classic D&D action.

How does everyone feel about the Steam Trading Cards addition? It feels like another achievement system kind of deal that has no real value besides showing off how much time you spend playing games. Also, considering the amount of games I already spent a fair amount of time playing (as a means of attempting motivation), it bothers me that I'm not pre-rewarded for having already previously made the effort on some of the listed games. It's like it wants me to beat the games listed one more time, just to earn half of them by spending another 30+ hours playing a game I already spent 50+ hours playing and beaten completely. Makes it feel rather pointless.

Oddly enough, this could just be a symptom of finally losing interest in gaming in general. Or at least, I've been noticing myself losing interest in playing games. Can't really determine the cause, but I'm not gaining the kind of satisfaction that I used to gain playing anymore. It's strange and somewhat unsettling. Having been playing games most of my life, it's like I'm changing overall as a person.

How does everyone feel about the Steam Trading Cards addition?

REALLY pointless... I mean really uselessly pointless.

Now if this was an actual trading card game... I would be 100 times more interested.

Trading cards are annoying. I don't like earning trophies for playing games; I want to play games for the sake of playing them, and get a sense of accomplishment by actually accomplishing something in the game, not having it run for a few hours. To me, every feature I don't use is a feature driving me away from the service, because I don't like ignoring parts of something I'm using. So yeah, fuck trading cards. I'm still going to get full collections.

I'm not interested in further developing my Steam profile. So things like community badges and your Steam level mean very little to me. I'm not bugged by it...although I wish I didn't have to clear my inventory after playing a game I haven't looked at in a while.

Well if you want one sign of how Steam SUCKS LIKE CRAZY OMG WHY OHH WHY!?!

You cannot actually turn off achievement pop ups on Steam in any obvious and direct way.

I HATE IT when you cannot turn it off. I cannot even turn it off on my PS3.

Until I turn trophy pop-ups off I am putting Steam into the "Total Garbage" category.
