Bit late, but I think this was the last thread that mention the alleged game: [ur=http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/06/20/the-war-z-changes-its-name-if-not-its-ways/l]WarZ changed its name[/url].

I... am not sure why http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/06/20/the-war-z-changes-its-name-if-not-its-ways/l leads to http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/06/23/l-a-noire-announced-for-pc/

How is Mark of the Ninja? Got really high reviews but I'm not sold yet.

Decent, but I didn't find myself compelled to play more than a few hours. To me it felt like linear Tenchu. Good, but not crazy good.

I picked up Mark of the Ninja in a bundle so I got it super cheap but I really like(ed) it.  Yes, it's quite short, but it's very, very good.  It's been a long time since I played a truly good stealth game and I really like the aesthetic.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

The trailing /l probably messes something up with the url naming scheme. Just remove it from the link and it works fine.

EDIT: Ninjaed...

I know, I only followed the URL with the l in it in the first place to see what would happen  :P. I was expecting a 404 error, but if they want to redirect to other articles if you give a bad url, that's an interesting policy (even if the articles would tend to be very old news).

That's... a little odd issue. I did a little debugging, and...

* RPS uses the final part of the URL to identify articles. Which is an odd choice already.

* RPS, if confronted with an invalid URL, tries to find the correct URL using a basic pattern-match based on the provided letters. For example, http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/06/20/the-war-z-changes-its-name-if-not-its-ways/r (with a "/r" suffix) redirects to http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/10/27/r%E2%80%99lyeh-good-magicka-the-stars-are-left/. Using a "/l-a" suffix also redirects to the LA Noire article. Using a combined "/l/r" suffix redirected to the R'lyeh article again.

Weird. Also totally unrelated to Steam sales, but still, weird.  :)

I hadn't realised how much more amazing the GoG sales had become. They've added a trillion things on sale.

EDIT: this is a one-day sale! Get this stuff today!

There's:
- Zafehouse Diaries for $2.50
- All introversion games for $7.16 (not Prison Architect)
- Most Bullfrog amazingness for $15
- The Witcher 2 for $6
- Hotline Miami for $3.33
- Waking Mars for $2.50
- King of Dragon's Pass for $1.50
- FTL for $2.50

Plus a ton of others. Whowzah!

Zafehouse: Diaries is worth it at that price, but not at full retail. Worth picking up if you're into the survival genre.

Does GoG save my purchases so I can re-download them or do they give me an installer and hope I don't lose it?

As long as you remember your account info and they exist as a service then the game is yours to download and instal as much as you want.

Good question ;)

Also, be aware that the GoG sale is ONLY TODAY.

Just found this out. It's to celebrate the longest day of the year :)

Yes. And no.

The 'Longest Day' sale is only on for today, but GOGs No DRM Summer Sale actually goes through until the 5th July.

So there will still be LOTS of deals between now and then, with repeats likely.
