Suddenly images come to my mind of the Mafia using indie games as a money laundering scheme.

Given their lineup I honestly would not be that surprised.

Sardines have a mafia?

I just assumed they used the Vatican Bank.

Ok here is an excellent deal for steam codes bought from Gamersgate today only.

The Last Remnant has a base price of 30$ on steam.

It has a base price of 15$ on Gamersgate and buying it there gives you a steam code.

It is 75% off on Gamers gate today.

Thusly I just paid $3.75 for it :)
And as the base price is lower, this will be better than any possible near term sale from steam itself.

Last Remnant does not have very good reviews and just seems to be more of Squeenix's "players have less/no control along a linear pathway but should be entertained by all the movies".

It's so linear even the dungeons just are one straight line.

Well I only paid 3.75$ for it.  If I play for 4 hours I'll consider it a good deal.

(Also got the much much older but better rated Septera Core for 2.50$.)

Here's an amusing tidbit:

The voice acting for Last Remnant was actually first done in English, then dubbed in Japanese.

I have a copy of Chaos Wars... no voice acting can be worse than that.

They could always throw a Jade Empire/Knights of the Old Republic and have half the characters speak in nonsense to save on voice acting. Jade Empire would have you believe that older voices are worth gold and can only be used sparsely.
