So, I *just* noticed GalCivII is on flash deal. Anyone comment on the expansions? I tooled around a bit with the base game, but spent more time in the ship designer than actually playing. If the expansions are noteworthy I might give it a second look sometime.

EDIT: Screw it. I'll get $5 just out of making ships.

Get Kryo's Hull System Mod. Makes the shipbuilding much better, if a bit cluttered.

I think it's unfair to compare GalCiv2 to a game that came out six years later.

I don't think the comparison is unfair. It's not like there have been any major advancements in 4x video game design in those six years. Hell when it comes to space 4x games everything gets (unfavorably) compared to Master of Orion 2 anyways, which came out more than more than 15 years ago.

I don't mind who gets them so long as they enjoy them. My freinds either have a copy or don't want them so sure.

I have yet to see ArmA II: Combined Ops go above 20%. I want it, but I'm a cheap bastard. I've been hoping against hope that it will be a daily eventually.

It came into the summer sale at number one sales for a few weeks. Which is pretty impressive considering people are buying it solely for dayz. 

My guess is they will be milking the 20% as long as they can, any daily deal will be on the last day. (second to last if they do a recap of all daily/flash deals on the last day)

There's also the possibility they don't do an arma daily, and just pick up all the full price sales afterward.  It's an odd game because it is hitting its prime sales window a year after its launch

I've heard that BIS have said that Arma will not be on the steam summer sale, beyond the 20% discount as they want people to buy directly from them. It was on a 50% discount or somewhere in that area on their website store a short while ago. The big background advert on the 20% discount on rock paper shotgun points towards this being true, though I'm not sure where they said/hinted at this.

Farccry 2 is $2.49 and I would be tempted but the driving is so terrible.
