From what I've heard it's pretty good.

Yep. Pretty fun. First-person free-running. Combat isn't great, but it works. Not much combat anyway. You can run on walls and stuff. Worth a few bucks.

And good enough for me, I bought it.

Now my steam sale list is:

Saints Row the Third Franchise Pack
Mount and Blade: Napoleonic Wars
Mirrors Edge

Notably I already had most of the offerings that'd interest me.

Also Saints Row is much better than GTA.  I am pleased :)

If not under Neotemplar look for Vellum.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record worthwhile?
In my opinion, everything Dead Rising is terrible. But I haven't played any of the full games, or any part of Off the Record.

Has anyone had experience with this store?

Umm... no offense, but unless I read this wrong, that's like saying "Civilization sucks, but I've only played the mobile version and looked at the box art."  :P

Dead Rising's a fun little distraction. If the thought of killing a zombie with a trash can or lobotomizing one with a bucket full of drills, all while wearing a frilly dress and ridiculous hat amuses you, it's the perfect distraction. (Haven't played Off The Record, but I've got a fair few hours logged in DR2.)

I've played the demos (several times, at that), so I'm familiar with most of the game mechanics. I can see why people would find it fun, but to me it seems tasteless and boring in its repetition. If the demos don't represent the games well, you're welcome to correct me.

Mirror's edge is unique an quite fun.  Specially if you like the concept of parkour.

The only critique might be the simplistic story and brevity of the game.  But a recommended experience.

Metro 2033 worth the investment? I already reached the end of my budget, but is it worth the extension?

Halfway through my budget, Mirrors Edge is gonna be worth it though.

I love Metro 2033. It's not flawless but no game isn't. Think of it as a linear S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with a great storyline/experience. Make sure you play it on the Ranger difficulties though, it makes the gunplay MUCH better.

I find it funny to see how many people are all up tight about how there are no free games this Summer. (Just from my observations of the SteamGifts.com forums.)

While I don't feel entitled to having some of the events they had in past events, I do miss them. Half the fun was participating in the events plus a chance to win a small or two. Now they have nothing but the badge system which is not only pointless but the method to get the badge this sale is just boring. Voting isn't exactly the most fun experience. My country fines me if I don't vote.
