Civ V is on sale. Is it any good?

I'm still too used to the classic and Civ 2 games, and not too keen about III and IV (which I also have).

It's cheaper on Amazon as well as being part of a bundle with IV and Stronghold.

EDIT: Still related to DRM, there are games I was interested to buy during Steam sales until I visited their forums and saw a lot of complaints by buyers about DRM. They all have the same thing in common: published by Ubisoft.

The Witcher and II are on flash sale.

To be clear, you can get The Witcher for $2.49 (US). It is most certainly worth it. The combat isn't deep, but it's fun. The same can be said for most of the game.
By the way, play The Witcher with Polish voice and English subtitles. That is the best way.

Not in that pack. Those are the digital versions of the game which are basically a Steam code. You can get non-DRM versions of the games, but not in that pack.

I'm actually tempted with the Stronghold pack, those have been on my list for a while.

Isn't Civ 5 a Steamworks game which means you can ONLY activate it on Steam?

It's less than you think. We also have an R18+ rating now so that's not a problem.  The Call of Duty games were not censored in anyway.

I see they banned Syndicate.  Every cloud has a silver lining, eh?

Are they any good? Pretty sure that Deus Ex is at least worth a look. But i don't really need another generic shooter or a racing game.

Deus Ex is good enough.  Not as good as the first, better than the second.

I honestly preferred the English version is both games. Geralt has a really good English voice actor, in my opinion.

Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are both pretty fantastic IMO.

Haven't played City yet, but I paid full price for Asylum and didn't regret it. Really solid game, extra fun if you're a comics fan.
