I got CK2, but I'm too tired to want to figure it out right now. I fuddled around with the tutorial, and so far everything looks pretty cool, but the tutorial was more about explaining mechanics, rather than explaining the game itself (IE, your options and why you would want to do something and when the best time to do them is). I know numbers, just tell me what I can do with them!

Goes off to play a more mindless game for now.

It figures. It was the difference of $15, but I hem and haw over $10, so that does kind of piss me off. The fact I have $15 to throw around at the moment helps a little.

Oh well, time to go try to play CKII.

I've just played CK2 for an hour, which was about enough to read through the hint screens for the various windows. Maybe tomorrow I'll get around to unpausing the game.

There's also a demo that while limited to three characters gives you a taste of what the core mechanics of the game is about.
Where can I find the demo? It looks a little like EUIII, and that had trouble running on my system while I found the game itself a little slow to hold my interest.

So is it worth getting the Collection version for Crusader Kings II, or should I just pass on the DLC stuff and solely get the main game?

Except for Ruler Designer (which...designs rulers, with limits on when you can do so), the DLC is all musics. (except for the soon-coming? expansion thing with the muslims.)

I have CK2 only and asked myself the same question. I think most of the DLCs are non-essentials, although the musical ones are really immersive.

I am wondering if Hearts of Iron Complete will go on sale anytime soon. This is the last day of Paradox sales so probably it will happen during Steam summer sales.

Not quite true. There is a pack of additional shield emblems/designs, and a Mongolian face pack.
Can someone point me towards a demo now? Please? :P

I can point you at a rather silly co-op, but not a demo, since I didn't know there was one.

The Potato Sack has been re-released! 13 indie games for $19.99 (over $60 in savings), or each individual game for 50% off.

Already own Amnesia, Defence Grid and Supermeatboy. The other games look like generic flash games with fullscreen mode.

edit: Actually, Audiosurf looks fun. Can anyone confirm this?

It's clever, but I thought it was a bit meh.  Of the rest of the bundle, Killing Floor isn't bad, and the Wonderful End of the World looks like a sub-par Katamari ripoff.

Audiosurf can actually be really fun if you have a decent amount of music on your hard drive. You can plug in any song you wish, play it, and see how the rest of the world did. And if you're a stoner, well it has all sorts of glowing colors and splash effects everywhere. I have over 26 hours on it.

Audiosurf is a lot of fun if you have a large music collection. Killing Floor is by far the best game in that bundle, though.
