What a terrible name for a game...

It's actually a long series of games:

I'm not sure exactly, but I think Ys is pronounced Yees.

Is Ys worth getting when it eventually goes on sale?

I've played it before, it's pretty cool but can be really hard.
It also has an amazing soundtrack.

What a terrible name for a game...

Also, not the best judge of whether or not a game is good and/or worth buying.
Ys is older than the gaming scene.

I never said the name was any reason not to buy it, just that I thought it was bad.

Oooh....Portal 2 is a tempting buy.

Quick! Give me reasons not to buy it!

It has good writing, enjoyable backstory, fun characters and also physics-bending portals!

Wait, I did it wrong! Oh no!

Um...it's a little short. Not as short as Portal, but it's no Mass Effect/Skyrim length. Limited replayability.

Other than that, I got nothing. It's ungodly fun, at least to me.

If my Steam Library is to be believed, it took me 2 hours to beat Portal, and 8* hours to beat Portal 2. I think both were raucously fun.

EDIT: Actually took me about 8 hours, I forgot that playtime was inflated because of Coop.

Funny, it took me 4 hours to beat Portal and 7 hours to beat Portal 2.

I think I spent a long time in the first one just dicking around with portals though. Infinite falling and such.

I've played through both multiple times, so my stats are not the best measuring stick.

If you have $9.99 to your name, get Portal 2. It's impossible not to regret it.

The quantity is definitely lacking if you're looking for a long-term investment, but the quality is just mind-blowing.

It's hailed by many as the best game of 2011 for a reason. A singleplayer and co-op campaign that are great fun. It even has some free co-op DLC, and an upcoming easy to use integrated map editor to extend the value further. Not a very long game, but the intensity of the enjoyment more than makes up for the length of this highly polished masterpiece of a hilarious puzzler. I'd make a comment about poor Irishmen here, but I'm not sure if that's allowed.

87/100, 5 stars, 9/10, 31/40 ect...
