That's a problem pretty endemic to the gaming industry as a whole Darkmere.

As an example, I've watched the trailer for Pixeljunk all the way through, and walked away going "What did I just watch? What was that game even about?". Needless to say, I won't be buying Pixeljunk.

EDIT: On the other side of the spectrum, we have the trailers for Sequence, which are brilliantly done, and even functions as a kind of mini-tutorial of the game that gives you not only an idea of what type of game it is and how it's played, but also the style and feel of the game as well. <3 Sequence so much.

Tons of deals today:

EVERYTHING Deus Ex: Human Revolution is 66% off today, in addition to the price cut from earlier.

All the Serious Sam games are 66% off as well, and Mirror's Edge is 75% off.

Those screenies are pretty and all but most of the time you'll be staring at numbers and an interface right?

I play a fair bit of CitiesXL and spend hardly any time staring at numbers.

I'm kinda considering Human Revolution but the reviews telling me that Boss fights pretty much mean you have to invest in combat skills instead of sneak/hacking/etc is a bit of a turnoff... has there been any patch or update that fixes that?

EDIT: Found this bundle: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/11748/

Saves 30 cents on both DLC, but WHY doesn't it show in search? I can't get to it via the client, only the website via the URL that I got from Google.

I think it's sort of a design thing, but, people on another board I'm on (a board for MMO Rogues) say the stealth route is still doable without a ton invested in combat. It sort of amounts to cheese but it'll get you through the fights.

Yeah I just read a few blog posts about it from gaming sites, and apparently the boss fights were outsourced to a shooter company that knew nothing of Deus Ex :P

Anyway, apparently they're not THAT hard, just annoying that you have to just go Gung-Ho on their asses even if you've been avoiding combat. Not that I want to avoid combat.

30 cents off the DLC bundle if you go to my link! http://store.steampowered.com/sub/11748/ :D

Yes I'm cheap...

EDIT: NVM, apparently if you go to one of the DLCs it gives the option to buy the bundle of 2 DLCs instead at the discount. But hitting "add all DLCs" from the HR store page adds each DLC piecemeal without the 30 cent discount. Those stealers!

Speaking of being cheap, does anyone have a Deus Ex coupon laying around?

Nope, but apparently I had the exact amount in my Paypal from a refund I got for an old hosting service I had and cancelled 3 months ago and forgot to disable the autopayment thingy. So... free games!

Considering that it was your money anyway... it's not free.

Are you suggesting that Past Sergius is a different entity from Present Sergius?

D:

Also, I really wanted to buy this, but I didn't have enough balance so I'll buy the alpha indie royale bundle. Gotta wait till DE:HR is 75% off.
