Yeah. If you removed the grapple references and the name, you could easily be talking about GTA. :P

All forms of CitiesXL suck. I'm so glad I found a hard copy of SimCity4 Deluxe in a thrift store in the past few years. Best $5 spent at the time. It's far superior even without mods. It also doesn't phone home.

From what I saw, Just Cause 2 is a lot like Prototype (but more open), except substitute superpowers with "absurdly powerful badass normal" powers.

How have I overlooked this thread for so long? I'm fairly new to Steam, since I always thought of digital distribution as a hokey modern concept vainly attempting to obsolete physical items, but I'm loving my little indulgences every now and again. The sales are the whipping on top.

Yeah, but I have a physical copy with a physical manual. I can free up resources by not having to run Steam blahblahblah. The thrift I bought at has lowered their PC games to $3-4 recently.

I don't even buy games any more until they are at 75% off.  :D

Yeah, the sales have given me bad habits, but with my entire library I've still paid less than buying 3 AAA titles, and supported indie folks as a result. What's not to like?

On-topic re: Cities XL, am I the only person immediately turned off by "previews" that don't contain gameplay shots? Those screenies are pretty and all but most of the time you'll be staring at numbers and an interface right? Seems like that'd be important to preview in previews.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.
