When I tried the demo it was terrible.  I regretted the time I spent playing, for they were minutes I would never get back.  Screw long download times; playing the game is less fun than staring at a wall.

I had a blast playing it online with my wife on different servers. Neither of us cares much about graphics, and it just ended up being a nice, fast shooter that's not equal to all other shooters that have been released in the past 10 years. The price point and the fact that they tried to do something different was enough for me to buy it.

Didn't regret it either :)

I thought Dino D-Day was different, but fact is, it's not different enough to qualify as a game in its own right IMO, and certainly not for more than a couple bucks.  There's a lot of Source mods out there for free that are far more unique.

Before TF2 added copious numbers of hats, could we not have said the same of that?

TF2 was a random thing thrown in with my precious, precious copy of Half Life 2 Episode 2.   :D  Also, it is now free.

However, as examples, games like Eternal Silence and Zombie Panic are released as free mods to the Source Engine.  As far as I can tell, someone did the same type of work for Dino D-Day, and apparently still expects to be able to charge $10 for a year old mod that scored a 53 on Metacritic.  It doesn't really bother me that they'd like to be paid, but it's laughable that they think it's worth that much.

I've got no trouble paying for a mod, but 53 on metacritic?  Damn.

Now now, scores must be taken with a grain of salt. Star Trek Online has a pretty low rating (mostly from it's release, from what I heard), but has since cleaned up and I'm really enjoying the free-to-play offerings.

I'm not. Tried it, and it's generic, boring and uninspired. Only the character customisation stands out.

Killing floor is 85% off. If $4.78 or $2.99 is still too rich, I've got two guest passes for anyone who wants them. Just add [DFC] Grue and message me. I'll pass one along.

Have it already. It's ok, but it didn't rock my socks if you know what I mean.

It's sufficiently cheap that you can't go wrong. Just bought KF-pack and Magicka, because I've seen people play both of those a lot (Yes, I base the quality of games on the playing prefences of my steamfriends, 99% of whom are from the DFC-group).

Killing Floor for 2 euros and I cant buy it. This is one of those moment where I really really dislike the fact that I cant buy stuff over the net cause im not 18. And my brother isnt online so I couldnt even have him buy it.

Blargh, plan B. Anyone willing to trade me KF for anything I have?

I'll buy it for you if you'll agree to give any one item from your Steam inventory to the first person to request it in this thread.  Fair deal?
