I wish Steam would stop telling me Arkham City is on sale, but that it's not available in my region.

WHY is it not available in my region anyway? Most games are. What's so special about Arkham City that it can't be purchased anywhere but... wherever? Arkham Asylum is available.

Do they fear that some dirty foreign countries are going to get Arkham City and do some evil terrorist acts with it? Maybe get ideas for where to crash airplanes next.

I can imagine the look of horror in everyone's faces when 9/11 happens again. This time however, in Gotham.

I guess I should have looked into LA Noir before buying. Frozen on synchronize. Wonderful... :(

edit: Checking firewall. How long should it sync normally?

Turned off .net 4. XP doesn't have a problem with admin. What else?

Er, no. It is not. Not in the comics anyway.

It's not even pronounced the same way.

I'm having multiple problems with KotOR minimizing to desktop and crashing. I am saddened.

Gotham is based off of New York, but mainly the dark criminal side of New York. Still technically New York though.

You guys said Cargo was pretty cool a few months back, right? Worth it?

Cargo is totally batshit insane.  I honestly couldn't decide if it was good or not, but it's definitely worth trying out.

So, how much did y'all spend?  Confess!  Turn state's evidence, you'll get a lighter sentence!

I spent about 20 bucks overall.  In the summer sale, I spent ~$30.  ~$50 last thanksgiving/christmas.

And, oh Jeebus, about $125 for 2010 summer sale.  I didn't realize it was so much.  And I repurchased games I already owned, like the original Unreal and FEAR 1.

Being poor and home from college, I sadly didn't buy much. I spent maybe $25 or so. I would have bought a bit more, but Steam doesn't play nicely with dialup.

Since it seems others are posting their haul, here I go.

Realm of the Diggle Gods (purchased before the sale, but it was close enough to be counted)
Magicka + all DLC
Orcs Must Die + all DLC
STALKER: Call of Pripyat
STALKER: Clear Sky
Sanctum + all DLC
Terraria

And now that that's done, this looks fairly small. Oh well. As soon as I get access to a decent connection, I'll be having fun.

This time I got away with spending $35 or so, all on big discount items or oldies that have been on my list to buy/re-buy for a while.

Of the items I bought on sale, Space Pirates and Zombies, Dungeon Defenders, and Heroes of Might and Magic 5 are the ones I'm enjoying the most.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

I spent $48.50 out of my $50 budget for this sale. Cutting it close?

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.
