Just realised I could have picked up some of the Orcs Must Die DLC super cheap yesterday, but I forgot it existed until now... Looking at my inventory I remembered that as well as the worthless coupon (sure I could try to trade it, but it's as useless to everyone else as it is to me) and coal I have Half Life 2 and Episode 1 spare. The amount of people without HL2 is rather low and Redking has one to offer as well, but just in case someone wants it.
Hmm... I'm tempted... but I have more games than I play at the moment.

I dunno... Considering most roguelikes are free and are as appealing as Dungeons of Dreadmor...

It's kinda like saying you should buy a new bicycle for $3 because you'll get more enjoyment out of it than a bag of chips even though you already have a perfectly fine bicycle at home.

But then again... it is really cheap.

Janet really seems to like it, so I figure it must be worth $1.24 at minimum.

Is Costume Quest any good? I figure I'll grab Psychonauts (had it for the PS2 long ago), and not sure whether to buy it on its own or as part of the Double Fine pack.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's Tim Schafer. Would I be willing to shell out $3.74 for even five minutes of Tim Schafer dialogue? Yes. Yes, I would.  :D

One nice thing I've noticed about the sale this time, the daily deals actually continue to be available for another 4 hours after the new set of deals come up, so there is not the massive rush to buy that caused the store to throw up errors that happened last year.

I am only vaguely interested in the jurassic park game out of today's deals, and I think I can wait six months for that to be like $5.

Is PAYDAY: THE HEIST worth the price at 50% off? Or should I wait for it to go 75% off?

and does anyone want to buy a 4-pack?

I'm interest in trying Stalker but there are 3 of them, which one should I buy?

All of them! I've never played the series (and won't until I finish downloading SoC), but at those low, low prices...

Incidentally, FO:NV will run for me on Low/Medium quality, albiet with inconsistent fps, which is driving me crazy, and which will probably prevent me from playing on this computer. (Yes, I've already tried a number of 3rd party solutions, but haven't tried capping fps yet) D:

Spoiler: Problem solved. (click to show/hide)

Hmm...STALKER. I should probably look at buying that. Also, is Monday Night Combat good? It seems to have buzz, and it's el cheapo.

EDIT: STALKER bundle + Clear Sky in the cart....leaning towards buying MNC just based on the screenshots of people riding a giant mechanical chicken.  :P

I have MNC on the 360 and yeah, it is worth a buy. I think a lot of people got turned off because it seemed like a TF2alike on the surface, but it really isn't; the combat is drastically different, especially with the in-match upgrades and tower defense slant. Also the Support is massively overpowered and incredibly easy to camp with.

1-2HKO shotgun? Check.
Deployable, upgradeable turret? Check.
Mortar strike? Check.
"medigun" that can both heal your turret and heal you by sapping health from enemy players, robots, and turrets? Check.  :D

Also, the stealth/ninja class is amazingly fun to play, in pretty much every aspect of her style.

In other news, capped my fps at 25, so FO:NV is at least running stable now, if a bit slow. Oh well, playable is playable, and I'm not about to complain.

Right after buying stalker bundle I remebered dungeons of dredmor and decided to give it a try. Damn you Valve, steam sales are like daylight robbery! Except that you get something for your money.

I have MNC, got it during the summer sales, and personally, found it very boring.

I'll agree that it doesn't suck you in for hours at a time, but for $2.49, it isn't exactly a bad buy.

There's a free to play sequel to MNC coming up, so may not be worth getting.
