Limbo for 2.49, nice :).

Nearly went for splinter cell conviction before realizing that the editor was Ubisoft, that was close...

I was gonna get some games, but ended up buying some new pliers and some gold rings to make myself a bracelet (see my sig for relevant threat).  I'm currently wrapped in Oblivion that I got for cheap, Cataclysm which is free, and various other distractions, and it turns out that I like jewelry!

How is Limbo?

Is it short, replayable at all, or just fancy?
According to Total Biscuit and a couple other reviews, it's just fancy. I'm not bothering with it.

Anyone know whether the current sale price on Rage or that F.E.A.R package is worthwhile? Those are the only two things I'm considering out of todays sale and my money is starting to tighten up a tad. I'm fairly certain I've seen good things said about F.E.A.R around here before but figured I'd might as well double check and Rage is fairly new and I haven't heard much about it.

Dead Space and it's sequel are 75% off. I just can't tell if my graphics card can handle it or not :(

Curse you, Intel!

If it's on-board, yeah, it's a total crap shoot.

On-board, and on a laptop no less so I can't change it out (at least according to the store I bought it from).

I'm somewhat confident that I can run the first game; it's what, 3 years old? I meet the other requirements as well. Makes me wish I had a demo to download.

In other news, there's a game called Hearts of Iron III. Collection includes all the DLCs, and only for $12. Worth it?

iirc FEAR was one of the earliest source engine games, but not very well programmed so it required more power. so you should be ok if your comp ran halflife 2 (if hl2 was an unoptimized piece of crap)

not a very good game IMO. and it relies mostly on cheap scares like ghosts coming out of closets yelling BOO

Fear has really satisfying combat. Slow motion, windows shattering, guys tumbling off of balconies...that part has always been good. A little repetitive based on how they designed it, but still felt good.

The scare part of it...always struck me as cliched, hackneyed crap. I think it gets a little more refined as the series goes on, but it's the games are literally 1/2 modern tactical FPS combat and 1/2 "spooky" atmospheric storyline. And the two pieces never really feel like they fit together. At all.

Man, Sega Classics 4 looks pretty good, but the money from my bank account hasn't transferred yet.

I still got 18 hours, but then paypal says it expects to get the money by the 29th..

Should I start begging for help now, or wait it out? D:

If you can't find anybody to front the money for you, I'll buy it as a gift to one of my other email accounts, then when you have the 3.75 I'll re-send it to you. (Done that plenty of times before, I still have a number of games sent to my alt emails from when they were on cheap sales to give to friends, hehe)

Steam installed Games for Windows Live when I ran Section 8: Prejudice for the first time, only it didn't actually work. I had to uninstall GFW:L, and reinstall it from http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient before it actually let me log in from S8:P.
