I played OL1 and....it was ok. But I'm not sure even at that price if I'm terribly interested in seeing what OL2 shaped up to be. Apathy go!

OL2 was significantly more fun than the first IMO.

What really changed it? OL1 felt like a glorified puzzle game with a splash of 3rd person combat, and I'm just not that big into puzzle games.

More of a focus on combat, the greater potential for evilness, better (read: a) plot, wolves.

I remember being frustrated occasionally with having to juggle your hordes of minions in the first one.

This does seem like a meatier game than the first. Better graphics, larger environments, more collectibles and unlockables...

Gameplay seems mostly the same. It's cute all your minions get named now and you can rez your favorites.

Seems there's still that factor of: if you don't pay attention, you send a swarm of browns into the water and they die, or not being quick on the trigger against a big melee means your browns end up a mashed pile of goo.

Still, I've spent $2.50 on worse things. The game never fails to elicit a chuckle. And the revamped Underworld does look pretty awesome.

Is there any benefit to mind raping villagers (or whatever?) Seems they just stand around and get in my way if I make slaves of 'em, and nothing else.

You know those chests of gold in towns, weapons and all that?

You get more of them if people are alive.

Honestly, Garry's mod is definitely worth the ten dollars if you have it to spend. I've spent hundreds of hours playing it, it's a ton of fun. It's really a great game to just kill some time screwing around with stuff, or to build complex stuff.
