CoDBlOps is indeed free for the weekend, so you'll have plenty of time to finish the single player campaign and get tired of multiplayer, and still have most of sunday left.

To clarify this, you can download it play for free this weekend.  After this weekend you will no longer be able to play it without paying, whether you have downloaded it or not.

COD Black ops multiplayer is indeed fun, but I recommend that you newer players avoid HC or hardcore servers.
