So "Pacific Storm: Allies" is on sale.... i can hardly recomend the game but its one of those games that make me want to buy it out of pure nostalgia.
In theory its a great mix of grand strategy and tactical combat. You build and research bases ships airplanes and all that stuff... if only the unit AI was not as retarded as it sadly is.

Everything is in place for a grand strategy. Bases built up on islands mining and gnetrating resources/income cargo ships shiping goods/personel to the mainland and back. Factories in your mainland building whatever you ask for... but everything is flawed in one way or another.

The ship and plane AI is utterly retarded as ships run ashore constantly while fighters mill around rarely even engaging...
And in the strategy mode if you automatise base building and stockpiling you might find yourself suddently noticind that there is a topedo stockpile in new york and if you try moving them any closer to where they are needed (like the frontlines for example) then be sure that hte AI will attempt to move them back to new york or wherever it got fixated on.

Well like many other things developed and published by Buka really kinda bad but also hard to forget.

h and htey have a major screwup when it comes to selling the "bundle" as right now both games Pacific Storm and Pacific Storm Allies are 75% off down to 2 euro each... and the bundle that has both is for 14 euro. Also i don't think there is a point of buying hte base game because Allies is an Standalone expansion that has everythign the base game had and some extras on top.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed by Pacific Storm: Allies... one of those games with tons of promise that never really delivers. Didn't play a lot, but I remember the interface being super clunky, and battles being just weird. Pity...

Awesomenauts is on sale for $2.50 for another 12 hours. GO PICK IT UP.
It's a 2d MOBA, with an 80s theme and the best playerbase I've seen in a MOBA yet. I've only been yelled at twice in 60+ games. I've played 4? games of LOL. I got yelled at three times.

Not a huge fan of MOBAs in general. This is the game that changed it. I still play it with the wife on occasion, it's pretty great. Hard to go wrong with $2.50. Heck, you can probably play it while entirely ignoring the fact that you're playing offline.

I meant in order of which one was best. So which you would buy first (unless you really value the story).
Blood Money by far. The rest are skippable.

Has anyone tried Safecracker? Is it worth getting? Looks interesting but if it's not well-done I won't bother.

This Safecracker? Pass. I played it on an old PC several years ago. It was okay. I just recently got it through one bundle or another and installed it on a computer several generations newer than my last. Couldn't even start a game.

If you've got an older PC, it might be okay for you.

I grabbed Safecracker on a whim over Xmas, when it was -75% / US$1.24, like it is now.  I figured that's cheap enough to gamble on some hopefully 7th-Guest-ish brain puzzles.

Haven't played it yet, though.  :P  School school school...

I recently had a similar problem with Braid.  Wouldn't start up on the desktop...  but runs smoothly on my laptop with Intel-accel-whatever graphics.  Hopefully I won't have to do the same with Safecracker.

Humble Store has Prison Architect for $10 US. Broforce for 12. Hotline Miami is 4. Luftrausers and Heavy Bullets 7.50 each. Luftrausers has been lower.

It looks like something I'd enjoy, but I see a lot of complaints on the community hub about the game not working for various reasons. Seems to be too buggy to waste money on. Shame, because I'd like to see more games that are just puzzles without all the forced plot and endless boring cutscenes such games usually come with.

I'm also less than impressed that it's 1 dollar=1 euro price converted.

The publishers have the option to set their own price, but if they don't bother then it tells me they don't give a damn about their customers (although that's already apparent with the obvious lack of support and updates).

Waking Mars for $2 on Steam. See some gameplay videos, be convinced, and buy it!

Looks like you can pick up Civ V Complete for 67% off on Steam right now. Looks like a pretty reasonable deal, though I'm considering holding out for that golden 75% that we may see with the summer sale.

Have you taken a look at Cogs and Crayon Physics Deluxe? I got them in a humble bundle some time ago. They're kinda one-trick but might be amusing for a while.

And then, they will be weaponized. Like everything in this game, from kittens to babies, everything is a potential device of murder.
So if baseless speculation is all we have, we might as well treat it like fact.

Cogs might be fun for a few levels, but not at that price. And I don't like physics games. I'm terrible at them and I get frustrated. Anyway, it's not like I have a shortage of games to play. Safecracker just looked right up my alley and worth such a low price; shame I can't be sure it would even work.
