I received two coupons of Pixel Piracy 25% off. They are valid until Thu Apr 16 2015 01:00:00 GMT+0800 (China Standard Time), cannot be applied with other discounts.

I'll probably keep one for myself - so I'll share the other one here. Who's interested? PM me your info.

Edit: It's a long lasting coupon though. It's quite possible the game will be cheaper than that this Easter or summer...

In terms of sales, looks like Total War Rome 2 is on sale for 50% off. Opinions?

EDIT: I personally feel that it's better to wait for the inevitable "Gold" edition with Total War games.
That game is a train-wreck if you have anything even close to experience with any previous Total War title including Empire. It is not only STILL buggy as hell but is crippled by poor design choices that the developers ignored instead trying to shovel crap DLC into everyone's mouths.

Mind explaining the poor design choices? I own all the Total war games minus the first Shogun and first Medieval, and it looks pretty decent to me. Looks like Rome but more modernized, and naval combat added.

We have a very lengthy forum thread on Rome 2 here: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=112554.495

It basically details every single question you guys want to ask.

So, perusing the specials list turned up a few old school FPS goodies.

A remake of the old Shadow Warrior is on sale, which looks more like Killing Floor on opium than a remake, but hey, I'm ok with that.

Some crazy Serious Sam bundle is 85% off and apparently 'worth' $95, but none of the components are individually on sale, so I think I'll avoid it. Any thoughts on the validity of the content in that bundle?

Duke Nukem 3D (and interestingly enough also the original Shadow Warrior) are also on sale, but personally, I think I'll wait and get them from GoG instead, since they're a better distributor.

I don't own it, but according to my brother who does the AI is just utterly and completely broken. Like... the AI for shogun 2 is really stupid, but apparently rome 2's AI is a whole new level of bad and is seemingly incapable of even playing the game at all.

Which is kind of sad, I get that AI is a difficult thing to program but... ehhh it seems like they could include some kind of sanity check to make sure it does not do blatantly stupid things like attack you with an "army" that consists only of generals.

Consider the following:
Serious Sam: TFE - $14.99 USD
Serious Sam Complete Pack - $14.24 USD

TFE and TSE are certainly fun games and Double D was a good time-waster with some bizarre enemy designs (reminiscent of Serious Sam 2's bizarre bestiary). I've only played three levels of BFE and, while it had some fun moments and features, it has problems.

EDIT: If you don't want to spend ~$15, wishlist the classic versions of TFE and TSE. I picked them up for 50c each during a sale.

Payday 2 and all of it's DLC is 67% off (don't have price in dollars due to regional pricing), as well as a free weekend for it.

Bioshock Infinite 75% off as well.

A bit off, since this is not on Steam, but it's still a sale:

The Elder Scrolls weekend on GamersGate.

Morrowind is 67% off, Oblivion 67/63% off.
Silly discounts, would be more happy to see 75%, but still tempting, at least Morrowind. Oblivion kinda tempting too, even though I dislike it as a RPG.

Oh, and Skyrim is off too, classic version is 33%, while legendary is 50% off. This makes their prices THE SAME, funny enough.

Is it just me or has steam been down a ridiculous amount lately?

Steam goes down about twice a day on average.  Down time can last 10 minutes to half an hour.  The longer ones seem to be followed with a update.

What's with the disk busy status on downloads??? It's making it impossible to download certain games like payday 2.

Payday 2 requires a *lot* of space to download its updates into, or it simply fails.  I eventually uninstalled it because I was having to keep ~40GB free for a 30GB game, with the constant updating.

I'm not sure why it needs that much disk space at all, really...  All the fancy third-person weapon textures that render as <30 pixels 99% of the time?  I don't get modern games in general.

Weird, I only had 20GB left at one point (excluding the space already taken up by Payday 2 and all DLCs) and the game ran fine.

I didn't play the free weekend, but if had started it up and it told me it wanted 30 GB, I'd have told it to piss off.

Ah, I meant to say I was keeping ~10GB free for the updates.  I added that to the 30GB it takes up constantly, for a total of ~40GB.

They released a very interesting update recently which undoes some of the most unpopular nerfs, and allows hostages to be moved somehow.  My friends who love the game had ragequit weeks ago and are now in love again.  Me, I'm keeping my disk space... for now.
