Guns of Icarus Online is 75% off for about 29 hours. I might finally get it?
It is also included in Groupees bundle 11 which active for 44 more hours. You could get it and a bunch of other stuff, particularly, IL-2 Sturmovik if you are into simulators.

The first bay watcher, of at least 6 months and 50 posts, to message me gets Redshirt on Steam. BAM. How's that for a sale? Don't worry, I won't judge you on why you want to play a single-player Facebook sim. /glare

THE END

Alpha Protocol is 75% off. If you want secret agent-themed RPG with shades of classic Bioware/Obsidian, you could definitely do much worse.

In regards to recommendations:
-Indie
-Arcade
-Action
-Difficult
-Casual

Are what it suggests based on my system, so far. Not bad. Kinda wish there were more games that were rated along some of my other tags, like Trippy, Psychedelic, Fun Boss Fights, Addictive, Great Soundtrack, and so on. Still got more games to tag, but it's a good start. Hope my suggested tags help out.

Procedural Death Labyrinth and Music-Generated Levels and such are also pretty good tags. Especially the former. That cracked me up.

EDIT:
Steam Workshop Needed would be a good tag to use for games that would work excellently with it, but don't have it yet. Games like that would include Super Laser Racer (Saw some neat maps others made, but I lack the ability to get/submit them (I made a map I call "Braids of Death". Lots of braiding road, especially made for combat, than racing. SO much offroading), and Needs UDK Released could apply for games where user-modding would be awesome, but it lacks a means to do so (inMomentum is a game that could use some user-made contributions; ranging from freerunning playgrounds, and others made for racing through, or maximizing game exploitibility (like a 300+ kph ninja jump across a level, but in case you can't there's a more user-friendly path to take; Levels with a Tron-like design scheme would also look cool as hell.); tagging as a suggestion. While on that note, for games that may or may not have it yet, Oculus Support Demanded could also help, since Oculus and Oculus Supported already exist.

I would love to play Silent Storm if it had a steam workshop going.

The editor however required an old version of SQL Server that's no longer compatible with Windows, and very hard to use.

Banished came out today.

I played it for a few hours. It's basically a simplified version of Tropico except with no personality and charm.

Well that sucks. I wasn't massively interested in it, but I was curious.

It's worth noting it's:
a) in Early Access, so its feature set will likely? grow.
b) it's made by one dude, so on that basis it's pretty impressive and begs the question: what else can he do?

But yeah, right now it seems like a village sim with the barest of features implemented. That said, I haven't read up on the game and don't know if anything else is planned. There would need to be for me to buy it, at the point those things were put in.

It's not in early access. It's finished.

So... uhhhh..... Steam kicked me off for a couple hours. When it comes back up, I have free giftable copies of portal and portal 2 in my inventory.
I already own both and have had them in my library for quite some time.

What.... what just happened there?

Huh....well in that case, I'm probably not going near it, not unless there are some great mods made for it. Which would be perfectly fine. Just seems too bland and lacking in details compared to other builder sims I could put my time into.

$20 for what there is of Banished? Meh. It's version 1.0 as is, so more content is not likely to be made.

Personally, I really dislike it. That's probably just my personal bias against competitive multiplayer games, but if you're into that sorta thing, go for it. Oh, and hats.

Maybe steam likes you. ( or they did or are going to do something terrible to you).

Apparently I'm not the only one. It's a leftover Valentine's giveaway or something... folks on another forum got coupons and more than one have the portal pack. So if anyone else happens to get gifts, that's probably it.
