Just had a play of "Long Live the Queen"...
WOW...
THIS GAME IS DETAILED...
During the "Cutscenes" there is this little ? button, clicking that will bring up details about the character talking. Such as Age, Maritial Status, Farther, Mother and such. This has more importance then you would first think...
Throughout the game you decide the morning and afternoon classes you take, ranging from all manners of things, there are 4 kinds of classes, then those classes are split into a few extra which are then split once again into 3 more.
For example. The Social Tree has 3 Choices, Royal Demeanor/Conversation/Expression. From there those are split into 3 more, for example Expression has Decoration/Instrument/Voice.
This opens up a large amount of things that can be leveled with 4 Trees, 14 Branches and then finally 3 Leafs on each branch. 42 Classes to take in total. From there you start with a base learning speed of 2 per weekday (6 in total or so) and then this total gets altered by that of Mood...
There are 4 Moods, well 8 in truth. While there is a perfect state of mind, each of the 4 moods shift with actions, going up or down towards different things, Angry or Afraid. Cheerful or Depressed, Willful or Yielding and finally Pressured or Lonely. Depending on which of these 8 different moods are the most influential towards your character gives buffs and nerfs to the learning speed of the character. For example, at the start of the game she is Depressed cause Mum just died. Naturally any child would not want to talk to anyone, so the Social Tree has some Nerfs to them, more on the Conversation which can result in Zero Learning from the class...
THEN...
Each week something happens, I don't know if its set in stone or it changes with a little RNG. But depending on how you have been leveling through the classes you can fail or succeed the tests that occur. You will never know which or when they happen if they are RNG, but for example. One Week my girl saw an Owl in the Day. I had been leveling Falcon Leaf within the Animal Handling Branch. So she knew that it was odd for an Owl to be flying in the day time, BUT, if I had leveled Divination, she would have taken more from that event... ((No images, no spoils
))
This is only the tip of the iceberg, if anything the same amount of stuff you would learn via the quick tutorial. BUT, even then it doesn't show its full potential. What is the most alarming is that there is a Checklist, within it is the Achievements, Epilogues and scarily, DEATHS... THATS RIGHT, you can check off the ways the Character dies...
