Anyone know if the new Tomb Raider is a good deal?  I've been considering it.

I hadn't played BL2 since around their second DLC or so, and noticed someone complaining that it had terrible DLC practices. I thought to myself; "Are you serious? Each DLC is at least 10 extra hours of gameplay!"

Then I looked at the DLC list and saw so much garbage. What the hell Gearbox?

Could have been me. I'd have already bought the game if they had stuck with the big content DLC's only like BL1.

Simply ignore the cosmetic DLCs. There, you have 4 DLCs with new story content and 2 new character classes.

There are some stupid cosmetic DLC things like skins and heads, but all of the real DLC is actually awesome in value and quality. More so than BL1 which had some DLC that really should have been part of the game proper.

It's too new and too popular. It won't.

Cheapest it'll be for a while until the Winter sale. Probably won't drop below half off this year.

We got any organized summer card trading?

I've got:

Chivilry : 2
Dead Island : 2
Prision Arcitect :1
Reus : 1
Skyrim : 2
Tomb Raider : 3

Anyone get extras of stuff I don't have? Any some rarer than others, or equal random distribution?

Don't tell anyone that you can see their shadows. If they hear you telling anyone, if you let them know that you know of them, they will get you.

I've got Kerbal and Chivalry.

I don't especially want to trade, but if someone felt like grabbing the entirety of my summer cards for a $1 game, then I'd be cool with it.

I think the only rare things are foil cards. I've only gotten one of those.

Friend my on Steam as Knight of Fools. I can't trade for four days because of a password change, but I'm enjoying the little trading card game. By the time I can trade again I should have all of the cards I can get from the games I own.

Also, I have, like, four extra Football Manager 2013 Summer Sale cards. These most certainly must go.

Eador : Masters of the Broken World is on sale at 40%. I'm not expecting it to get any cheaper any time soon, so...

Anyone played it already and could offer their opinion on the game?

It's got a very unforgiving learning curve, it's still a bit buggy in places, and personally I'd like to have seen a little more depth in the units and classes... but even at full price I more than got my money's worth with it.  If you're not put off by the early difficulty (which will seem unfair at times), I'd definitely recommend it as a sale purchase.

(one note, in case it's a dealbreaker: don't get it for multiplayer, unless you're willing to wait and hope the devs follow through on adding it later)

In case anyone asks, Don't buy impire. I payed full price and I'd still feel cheated at 5 bucks. It'll hold your attention for about half an hour, until you realize how shallow the game really is....

I thought it had a bunch of great features and yet it failed to be a fun game. It's filled with the worst kind of micromanagement.

Thanks Biowraith. Probably will grab it, but I'll wait for the next set of flash sale to show up first.

Yeah, I was just looking at that. Decided not to get it.

Same here. I'm rather sad that such a potentially great game could not hold my interest even at 75% off.

Fabulous Deals of the day:
Portal 2 for $5
Fallout: New Vegas: Ultimate for $5

If you're one of the few people remotely interested in these titles but not possessing them, now is the time.
Both also have fantastic community content and heavy support for it.

I'll be picking up Remember Me to gawk at cyberpunk free-climbing, but based on what I've heard I really wouldn't recommend it.

So, ARMA 2. Worth the eight bucks? Is DayZ still a thing? Will the singleplayer content hold my attention?
DayZ is becoming its own thing, so official support is out, though the community is said to be going strongly.
AFAIK the non-DayZ folks are heading to ARMA3.
So, if you feel like being cheap, ARMA2 would definitely be worth the $8. There's still plenty left in it.
