12 hours left on Necrovision. I read that it's not a bad game, apparently, specially if you can endure the first 1/3 of the game, the rest becomes awesome or something.

How much do you trust review sites on that? Well... I guess their credibility is ok for small publishers. When they talk about EA and so on, money talks.

I really wanted to enjoy Necrovision but the voice acting is just so terrible it ruined the whole game for me. Imagine the main character sounds exactly like a lobotomised TF2 engineer who keeps inane pointless crap. It doesn't fit the setting, it doesn't fit the theme and it all just horrible clashes. I couldn't find an easy way to get rid of the voice acting either.

I don't see the point of playing a game with no sound. I want the atmosphere and particularly in a FPS sound effects are extremely important to gauge where your foes are.  It's not a solution at all.

Tempted to grab Crysis. I've always wondered about that game. Especially since whenever I talked to people who owned the game, the focus would be on how breathtaking and advanced the graphics were, and what their gaming rig was like instead of what the game was about. Perhaps I can find out, finally, on my own.

Before you buy Crysis, if you're on Windows 7 you need to make sure it will actually run, I bought it a while back and it crashes whenever I change video settings or try to actually get into the game proper. And I've not been able to find anything on the internet to fix it.
