Since we're already completely off topic, has anyone seen the new community page?  I opted in out of curiosity and I think I''m going to be sick. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking when they made this abortion.
It's cluttered, confusing, and just all round bad. They got rid of the "blotter" feature and instead replaced it with a friends tab which shows all of your friend's screenshots, videos and achievements unscaled which makes it impossible to quickly see group activities/events.  The "game hub" workshop doesn't filter out games you don't own so it's extremely hard to find details for games you're acutally interested in. To cap it all off the game hub tab uses user screenshots which seems to be infected with screenshots of nude skins and scoped tit shots.

I dare anyone to look at screenshots of the new interface and tell me it's not a clutter mess of terrible. There seem to be no customisation at all.

The "game hub" workshop doesn't filter out games you don't own so it's extremely hard to find details for games you're acutally interested in.

There is an option to, unless you're talking about something else. Sort by "My Games" instead of "Most Popular". It does not filter out DLC though, so some games might end up being way down at the bottom of this list, piled under all kinds of various game DLC.
You can also search.

I agree with the screenshot problem though. User policed screenshot hubs don't work out so great, most of the obscure games have screenshots that have nothing to do with the game in question. Haven't seen any porn in a little while though, but I'm not really willing to sift through my obscure stuff.

It doesn't seem to be a free weekend, it seems the whole game has gone free2play. Little odd it's on everyone's accounts though. Usually you have to "subscribe" the game to your account from the steam store. I'm sure it's an error by Valve and they'll fix it up. The game doesn't seem to be installed at all and the fact that it says it is seems to be a bug. I'm assuming the Valve staff are all focusing on the Greenlight launch currently.
Just make a new category called "trash" and throw it in there. It's where I stick all the games that have repeating expansions or the mac versions. 

The game itself is basically a Team Fortress 2 clone. They used this Call of Duty-esce unlocking method which took a really long time to unlock items. It seemed like it was designed with Free2Play in mind originally but they still stamped a 15 dollar price tag on it.

Hmm... I heard matchmaking was broken on release. If they've fixed that, it might be worth the new price tag of $0. 

Odd that it shows up as "installed". Steam even reports a size of 16 MB on disk, but I can't find the game in my \steamapps directory, and a quick file search didn't turn up anything. I also don't remember it showing up in my download list. It's probably just a bug.

Gold includes Forged Alliance, correct?

It does, though if you only want Forged Alliance (it's an expandalone), it too is on sale individually for $3.75, I believe.

I would only recommend that unless you want to play the campaigns from the old game but eh, $5 bucks is cheap.

Having gotten both in another bundle, I would suggest you get both. I started a Forged Alliance campaign but it gave you everything from the first mission, and it can get fairly confusing until you figure out what you're doing. The first game's campaign offers a little bit of progression and you get to get used to the mechanics a little bit better.

Also, SC runs better than SC:FA in my oldish laptop.

I got it with the Summer Sale Batman pack. It's absolute rubbish.
