The price in dolars is 3.75
Is the port good enough to be worth the time investment? I've been wanting to play it since I read Jerusalem's superb LP, I'd just like some reassurance that it won't be a terribly broken waste of my time.
The port?  SA was before the console-port craze.

And yeah, I'd say it's pretty good.
Played it for a long time.  Get the more popular MP mod for it and you'll have plenty of fun with it for that price.

What? Everything after GTA 2 was a port of a console game, at least until I stopped paying attention. They were even coming out later for the PC than the PS 2/3/etc, at least for the first couple games after GTA 2.

But they didn't cut the PC development short until IV.
Hell, even that wasn't -horrible- in that regard.  Not like the more recent ports, like Fable III (god, that game was terrible on PC - the refresh rate is NOT 30 damn FPS, you stupid game)

San Andreas works great on the PC. In my opinion it's also a better game than GTA IV on any platform. Feels a lot more open and sandboxy somehow.

Agree with you there. GTA IV is fun though ,even on pc, until you find out that you need a high end pc to even have medium level graphics. Stupid Crappy optimization  >:(

Nothing wrong with EU3 vanilla. Complete isn't as complete as the name implies though, I think there are an expansion or two released since. Still a great buy at 3.75 if you like strategy games.

There is, however, on the same page as EU3 Complete, an option to buy the entire game package so far, minus some DLC, for eight bucks

Hydrophobia for $3.

Europa Universalis III Complete for $3.75.

Any opinions on these games?

I believe I've heard good things about EU3 on this board, but I also vaguely recall mention of modding, and I simply do not mod my games, ever. Would I still enjoy it vanilla? [inb4 I'm not even thinking of the right game.]

If you bought Hydrophobia, you'd be stupid.

And EU3 Complete is probably the best expansion set. Going past that ruins the game... Fucking Divine Wind.

EU3 Chronicles is the one with everything, and well worth it.

bought and have been playing Storm: Frontline Nation. It's what HOI 2 would have been if it was made today, but with Civ 5 graphics. Not flawless, but great turn based strategy in a geo-political sim.

I've never played without, but people say "Heir to the throne" is the best expansion for EU3. And it's not included in the "complete" pack.
