Is FEAR 3 in any way a better game than FEAR 1? I enjoyed the shooting and combat in 1 but could have left the rest.

Enjoy your DRM.

We don't accept steam for the drm. We accept it as an effortless and inexpensive option to quickly find, investigate, buy, download and engage the community and our friends with a variety of high quality games from both major studios and independent artists at affordable prices.

Traditional DRM exists only to police the user. Steam is unique in that it offers a variety of quality features that make bypassing it less attractive.
I also love and understand Steam, I was referring to Driver: San Fransisco.

It seems that none of the games I voted for have won yet, lol.

I woke up to find the current community choice is not available in my region. What is it?

Cheers. I just learnt that Risen doesn't seem to be in my region but Risen 2 is. Were the publishers sniffing glue?

Reminds me a little of Drakensang where it wasn't sold outside of America (and even Germany where it was developed) and the publishers complained nobody bought the game.

Well, Risen does have a nasty DRM system (TAGES, 3 activation limit). So yeah, "sniffing glue" definitely applies to at least some of their logic.  ;)

Anyone who puts terrible possibly PC unhealthy DRM in a game should be exiled to worst island of New Zealand and segregated from the world community. Anyone who puts terrible possibly PC unhealthy DRM ontop of Steam or other DRM should be flayed first.

I've heard that it's terrible compared to the first. I don't know what changes created that opinion, though.
Considering it's the 3rd game, I'm sure it's better in some way than the 1st. You could look up some gameplay, to see if the combat is the same.

Fear 3 added co-op to a game that still thinks it's a survival horror game when it's really just a tactical shooter with jump scares. If you know the very least about horror you'll know that going through it with you best friend is going to easily destroy the experience.
An easy pass on this one.

Meh, it's kind of boring. It doesn't run well on my system, either. Currently stands as the second-biggest waste of money on my Steam account*.

The plot isn't appealing, the setting is uninteresting, there's not much diversity in the way you can go about doing things, and combat isn't very fun. The gameplay is rather dull, overall. I don't think it's a bad game, I'm just pointing out that not everyone may enjoy it. I had fun for the first couple of hours.
