Don't buy RF:G on PC. It's a great game, but the port is utterly appalling.

I could tell from the steam video it looked a lil shaky.

But I don't own a console, so eh.

It's not a little shaky. It's finefinefineLAGSPIKETOHELLfinefinefine. And the lag spikes are located in certain areas, usually mission ones.

It's a physics-based game so I'd guessed that. Ah well. Not much I can do about it, I'll go poke around for some tweak guides.

Nothing to do with the physics. Doesn't matter what's going on, it'll just lag in some places.

The RFG lag spikes/stuttering can be fixed by changing the priority of the game process in task manager. It's something that should've been patched out, and requires a third-party app to save the priority, but it's certainly not insurmountable.

I don't recall ever having any issues with the game stuttering, but it was a long time ago when I had played it.

Same here, I have no recollection of terrible lag... except when I blew up buildings, but that was to be expected.

I always prefer PC versions, because of the modding capability.

(Bump from page 7.)

FEAR + two expansions + FEAR 2 + a DLC pack for $9.99.

I already own FEAR, but not registered on Steam.  FEAR 2 by itself is $19.99 normally.

Remembering FEAR, it was "oh look, yet another warehouse/office area.  new enemy type with one gimmick.  reached the end of that area, now I'll get a visit from the little girl.  yay, new weapon with not enough ammo to experiment with it."

Opinions on FEAR 2?  Is it worth $10?

I felt that the story in FEAR 2 starts off... oddly, but the design seems to be an overall improvement over the first. Ten bucks for it isn't a bad deal.

Two more 5-packs of indie games, this time for $10.
Damnit Steam, my wallet!
EDIT: Left 4 Dead 2 daily deal, $6.80

Secret of the Magic Crystals was on sale for $2.50. I bought three of my friends copies.

Now I wait till Morrowind gets in sale. Shouldn't take too long, after all, worse case scenario, it should happen around Skyrim's release.

I need a bank account. And probably a job. The only reason I actually got a hold of steam was because I had to install it to play Portal 2, and have exactly two games that you could buy from the store (Portal 2 and Half-Life 2, which was very generously gifted by hemmingjay).

The overlord series is ridiculously cheap today:

I think I'll pick up overlord 2 for 2.50 this evening.  :)
