Pretty much all the games in the sack are worth getting. The only two that I didn't particularly enjoy were aaaaaa! and 1..2..3.. and that is more due to their not being my style of game rather than being bad.

One thing to note, the aaaaa!!! in the sack is in fact the second/sequel not the version that was in the original sack.

Audiosurf is, in my opinion, Quite Excellent.

Killing Floor is fun if you bring your own team.

All of the Spore games are 75% off. I'd been looking forward to it, but never got it after the over-hyped release.

As someone who generally likes Sim-games, and doesn't have hyped up expectations of the game, would it be worth my money*? And what about the "expansions"?

Yeah, the base game is fun for a while, but can get boring. Galactic Adventures on the other hand, that is fun. Just be warned, its more of a third person shooter with a level designer than a sim game. Actually, that goes for the first one too.

Note that DarkSpore is also technically a Spore game, but it's not included in the complete pack (it's also 75% off tho).

I already played the... um, full demo until I got bored. I might get it still if the community is any good and we can all share our own dick shaped buildings and vehicles.

DarkSpore doesn't have as much customization, IIRC. I mean, yes you can give the critters different weapons and stuff, but you cannot make your own creature from scratch to fight with.

Yeah, Darkspore looks like a game behind its time appealing to a shrinking audience. "Yeah, it's like Spore, but hardcore and moody!" It's like someone in Maxis wanted to connect with his kid by making a game that he based off of a handy company title (Spore), based on Diablo, and themed after stuff he found shuffling through his kid's music collection. Rather than, y'know, just talking to his kid and asking him what he really wanted.

That's just how it looks, though. It doesn't look like my swig of milk, so I've never actually played it.


For Spore itself, though, the negativity seems to come solely from the hype Maxis built up kicking them in the butt rather than an actual bad game.
