Anno 2070 went for 40% off this weekend. I had been looking at it only a few days ago, saying, Man I would love to buy it, but $79.99 is just a bit too much for me right now. If it was like 50 or 40 maybe... Damn you Steam...

Ubisoft has crazy mark-ups in Oceania. Most of the major publishers have the regional pricing bullshit, I'm sure I've bitch about it before in this very topic.

Warning: Anno 2070 has Ubisoft shit DRM and I think 2 activations that get invalidated if you so much as plug in anything anywhere in your computer.

When called on that, they said "tough shit, buy the game again."

Well that certainly BS... At least the DLC is the same price, but yeah you can tell that they are "Different" products due to the release date. We Oceania folk are so ripped off in every area of purchase. At least Conversion rate is above the $1 mark atm...

Hrm. I'm half tempted to get Anno 2070, but I hardly ever play the non-violent games I get. I'll probably wait for a bigger sale in ~6 months, which tends to be the pattern that Steam follows with pricing.

And the chances of me upgrading my computer anywhere in the near future is pretty slim.
