It took years, but finally Skyrim is available DRM free on GOG

GOG is having a sale again.

Genesis Alpha One:Free. It's an FPS Tower Defense (the worst possible angle for tower defense), but it's free.

Graveyard Keeper: It's one of those grindy games that uses up a lot of time (not all bad, useful if you've got a lot of time), but it usually bugs out before you finish, so you have to replay 20-30 hours to get back to the same spot and find a different game-ending bug.

I've heard good things about Dishonored. Is that worth buying?

Genesis Alpha One is not a tower defense !
It's a mix of FPS , base building, planetary exploring/harvesting with a lot of roguelite elements.

Dishonored is pretty fun I thought. It’s a bit like Hitman in that you essentially get thrown into a big area, told where your target is, and you can get there however you want, though some missions are a little bit more linear.

You get a number of powers to choose from for upgrades that you can pick up in the big areas, but the game kinda forces you into stealthy non-lethal play if you want the good ending.

I’ve only played the first two (not quite finished the second) but they’re well worth that imo. The second takes a lot of the story from the DLC of the first one though, which I thought was a shitty move, but they’re fun too.

Edit: well, I mean a main character in 2 is from one of the DLC of the first one, so their background is easier to understand if you play through that.

Personally, I'm probably going to pass - I support the cause, but aside from Gotham Knights (and X-Com 2, but I own that), there's nothing that especially calls out to me.

At a quick glance there are two which particularly stand out for me:

Ticket to Ride - one of the seminal games which revitalised the board game industry (along with Evolution and Terraforming Mars).  I've played both the board game - lots of fun with friends/family - and the computer version, which does a pretty good job.  Memory is it includes the expansions as built in DLC.
Mount and Blade: Warband - again a classic, and one of those rare games where many of its flaws simply add to the charm.  In many ways better than Bannerlord (although a lot worse in a few ways too) it is very much worth a play, jankiness considered, vanilla... and then there are the mods.  Wait, did I mention the modseseses...

Pretty much worth $30 for those two alone, imo, even if you could probably pick them up individually for less than that (or certainly on sale).

XCOM2, M&B Bannerlord, System Shocks, Pay Day 2 all are quite recommendable. Some of the others I've heard good things about as well though I haven't played them personally.
