Crap. The sale ends in 1 hour and I want to buy Mass Effect 1 & 2. Buying it through PayPall will take another 3 days for my bank to transfer the money so that won't work. Is there anyone here who is able to gift them to me for now? I'll buy another game for whoever does it (In three days ofc) or just transfer the money online to a bank account / PayPall. I was a bit disappointed to learn that they didn't have a FNV+ dlc pack.
5 dollars for the base game is tempting, but an additional 12 for the dlc?
I think I'll wait.

I was tempted by NV as well untill I remember Bethesda does that price region bullshit.
Yesterday I picked up the Orcs Must Die! DLC, Eversion, Oddbox and Cryostatis. Good thing there was no sales, I have such a massive backlog as it is.

I managed to grab Orcs Must Die this morning before the sale ended (I live on the west coast so it doesn't recycle until 10am).  I remember thinking the demo was kind of fun but not really 15$ fun (plus given how steam operates and how close we were to both black friday and christmas I knew it'd be on sale soon enough).  I guess I could have waited until christmas but I think that for less than five bucks it was a good deal.  Not anyting that jumps out at me today.

On that note: Is there any reason to get Arkham Asylum (not Arkham City, I still haven't played the first one) on the PC instead of the XBox 360 (the version with everything in it) if I happen to see it somewhere for $5 for the 360? Of course if it does show up for $5 on Steam I'll likely get it there, no running to a store needed or anything.

Just as I thought, games that were yesterday at 50% are today at 75%.

I wouldn't recommend buying anything at 50% off or less. 50% off specials are a dime a dozen. In fact if it's 50% off now, it will probably be 50% again next month, and the next one, and the one after that, and once each month, forever and ever. So don't rush because they're trying to awe you with terminology like "super duper special autumn sale. buy one get two pay three!" or whatever

Its subscription based... so... yea.  Depends on how long you want to stick with.  I'm still playing on Harrow(American RP-PvP Server).  Its very very very low population though.  Barely any Guardians... and a small amount of Defiants.  I'm on the Defiant side.

Sorry if that was actually a joke I just missed.

I've bought most everything I want from Steam in recent sales, and the current one isn't very exciting. New Vegas was tempting, but I don't like the game that much, and I have yet to see any great mods for it. It's also at 75% off multiple times per year, so this isn't a very rare opportunity, especially with the holidays coming up.
Tomorrow's sales should prove interesting, though. Assuming the Steam servers don't get too severely crippled. (Last night was terrible. I had to go offline just to play Skyrim.)
