Just Cause 3 is 75% off on Steam, due to midweek madness.

That puts it on 12,49 euros for me, or 18,74 euros with the Air,Land and Sea expansion pass.

Is it worth it? Anyone here played it and had fun with it? Fun enough to recommend?

I had plenty of fun with it, through it depends on if you find going full rambo and destroying everything fun. I would recommend it.

I'm having much more fun with Just Cause, myself.

It is to Far Cray what is Saint Row to GTA : more open world, conquering villages and outposts, unlocking weapons and perks.
It has this "you are overpowered" feeling like the Saint Rows (especially with the air expansion, giving Jet Pack + machine gun + missiles to your normally more normal wingsuit.


One little note, though : It's very badly optimized. I can run GTA5 or Saint Row 4 in full HD with every in high, but I run Just Cause 3 in 720p in low details, and still have lag spikes sometimes.

Personally, I would blame that on some sort of internet tomfoolery. It's a likely cause when hardware otherwise shouldn't be expected to be the reason. And publishers/developers are more and more keen on data-mining as the years go by.

there is an offline mode, and I got it activated once, and it didn't get lag more nor less.

There's a bad memory leak. Apparently it maybe goes away a little bit if you have 16gm ram. It's a shame, because the Just Cause games are really fun, but you gotta have a smooth gameplay experience.

The devs' handling of the issue has definitely been less than stellar too. It's sad, 'cause it really is such a great series of games.
