So far so good, the Steam key registered flawlessly and I got in quick. Looks alright so far, and the reviews of the game are glowing. The tutorial's a little confusing, but I've been away from hardcore MMOs that don't hold your hand for a long while, so I'm still getting my bearings. I'd say get a membership if you're interested in the idea of the game, help them grow and stuff and besides its pay once/play forever.

All the cravats of early access are possible, of course.

Well, there's Colonial Marines, which is notorious for being a horrible disappointment. Then there's the Alien vs Predator games. I've heard they're better than Colonial Marines, but Colonial Marines is so bad that anything competent is better.

Also Aliens Isolation is 75% off holy shit. $50 on sale for $12.99. Damn shame my computer can't run it.

Am I misinterpreting this, or is the current flash sale going to last ~34 hours? I've been checking back every ~12 hours to see if some stuff I want is up on the flash sales but this is a bit of a disappointment, especially considering it's lasting longer than the actual daily deal...?

I'm going to be picking up Cities: Skylines for sure, but I'm the kind of person that likes to buy a bunch of stuff in a group but there's nothing on sale I see that I really want. Oh well, at least I have 10 monies in my fake wallet, so it won't eat into my limited funds as badly.

If I were you, I'd read through the negative reviews first. There's not many, but the better ones pretty thoroughly document a lot of the problems with the game. It's at best a better game than SC5, but that's not saying much.
