Another free weekend. Lead and Gold. An online-only wild west shooter. It's also 75% off, reduced from $9.99 to $2.50.

Lies! That's not 75% off! They're cheating us out of our precious pennies!

this game is so much fun, especially for free. It's a little more fast paced than tf2, it's a shame they waited this long to draw in players

Agreed. I played it last free weekend (the fact that there was another free weekend should already be setting off warning bells about player population levels!), and the game itself was fairly fun. But, even during the free weekend, finding a server was near-impossible; I spent a fair bit of time on a horribly-laggy server (in, I think, Brazil) - nobody spoke English and I had a ping over 250, but it was the only open server I could find.  :-\

Oh, and Mephisto: it's a plot. Some sneaky programmer at Valve has a secret bank account set up that receives all the fractional pennies from transactions. Nobody pays any attention to said fractional pennies, and averaged over millions of transactions, this sneaky programmer has probably accrued a decent-sized retirement fund by now.  ;D

Problem is that the program had a glitch and took a bit more than granted, i expect Valve on fire tomorrow.

bought victoria:revolutions at 2.5 €. I LOVE steam sales!
I still have to understand the game though... but now that I am at the end of my second game, I think I am starting to be able to keep the nation alive.

Any opinions on the Sega Genesis collection?

40 games for $10 is kind of cool, but I don't recognize most of them. [Didn't own a genesis until much later.]

IIRC there's some serious problems with those, i.e. inability to save. Might not be true, though.

The various collections whose games originated on a game console are just a handful of roms bundled with an emulator.

The Sega Genesis collection for the PS2 was pretty frickin' sweet and a very good emulator.  It's a shame if they bolloxed it up for the PC.

New sale up, the potatosack, 13 indie games at a combined 75% off. Unlike many packs if you already own some of the games you will get an extra copy that you can give away as a gift. Also tf2 hat.

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/7586/

Edit: also if you are just after one or two games from the collection they are all at 50% off individually
