Healthcare fixes praise zone
« on: March 14, 2011, 07:15:20 am »

# made dwarves get crutches properly
# allowed dwarves that can't stand even with a crutch to move around instead of never moving again
# stopped webs from cancelling rest job
# made "apply cast" job use water properly
# made hospital stock plaster properly
# a few fixes for hospital zone/health interface

It's not even here yet, and I have already entered an excitement frenzy.

The entire content consists of senseless murder, a pile of faceless naked women and zero regard for human life in general, all in the service of the protagonist's base impulses. It is clearly a cry for help from a neglected, self absorbed and disempowered juvenile badly in need of affectionate guidance. What a sad, sad display.

Indeed. Combined with the combat fixes announced earlier, this is going to be brilliant when .22 comes out  :D

Urist McVeteran strikes the goblin in the head with his -Fungiwood Crutch-, shattering the skull and jamming the skull through the brain!

Armok be praised!  I may have to dust off my old save and see if I can fix the framerate issues just to see some of my dorfs end their extended convalescence!

Glory glory hallelujah.

Now I won't have to build my hospital zones as a bunch of tiny 2x2 rooms that can double as future tombs.  Or add that lever inside that bathes the room in magma.  And I'll have to start buying crutches off the caravans again.

Right... who am I kidding? I'll do the magma thing anyway because it's fun.

I'll still build them as single 2x2 rooms to help against The Rot(tm). Gotta say I'm very happy with these bug fixes tho.
Hell at this rate .22 will possibly be the most stable release ever.
The only thing i can think of right now is soap not being usable by normal dwarfs.

Aah finally some serious bug fixing!  8)
Soap spam bug wasnt mentioned in that list though, hopefully it will be fixed too. Blood spatter cleaning could use some tuning too. If those things make it, i'm so going to have to donate some extra!

Clearly now all we need added are dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you. Thus we can release them along with the dogs & bees themselves when unwelcome guests come to your fortress.

And then lock the door.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.
