Oh, coolio. A skill point.

I'll put it into enchanting, but I have a question, is there any 'spells' I can directly cast or something using enchanting, or is it more preparing type stuff?

its preparing stuff, not like in DnD where you go ENCHANT! and they all go to sleep.

I put one into metal working.

Does anyone mind if I carve a chunk off of the spittors corpse for an experiment?

Sweet, we all get a skill point for winning the battle. +1 to Stoneworking for me please. Also, is there any flat metal bits around? About the size of a large coin? I'm making a miners helmet, and I'm hoping that I can make a makeshift lamp ontop with a shiny backing to direct light forwards. Should be useful in exploring.

how about you get 3 weak recipes
antidote
black tar - weapon poison, causes pain, hard to wear off
superglue

I'd really prefer the darkstick, if that's possible. I'm a vampire, I like the dark. Also, why am I healing from resting? I thought I needed blood to heal?

Using the available potions as poison coating will be useful, though.

+1 Clothier for my skillpoint, since it seems fitting in light of recent actions and we don't have anyone with that skill yet.

Edit: is there something I can do to cultivate my ingredients in a more time-efficient way than gathering them from the environment?

Keep the glue though, that stuff will be handy in both crafting and traps, as it will slow down anything it hits.
