Rahal you moved 2 spaces, bad terrain such as mud and rough stone floors 1/2 your move though so you only move 2 at a time.

Also, Sly, almost all spells go off at the beginning of your next turn. So that means the enemy has a chance to interrupt you. There are a few spells that are instantaneous, but i dont think any of you guys have one. The instant ones are mostly defence spells like "reverse missile" or "smokebomb"

PS did i say jarate made you take 17% more damage? i meant about 33% more damage oops.

no. although you can center it on any square in your line of sight.

PS about the vines. as long as they last, the vines should attempt to grapple everyone in their square at some specific point on every turn. you probably noticed that i forgot to do it consistently probably. But its all good, the barbarians ancestor guardian forgot to attack to so it all evens out. Entanglement causes 1-6 vines to sprout per square, they each have a 50% chance to grab a man sized target, and the target can defend normaly versus the grapple. The vines roll for their strength so you could get exceptionally weak or strong ones, but it averages to STR+0

Guess I'll have to join battle. This would have all worked so much better if we hadn't engaged prematurely.

We didn't really have a choice. The shaman kept buffing his water elemental, and we were mostly positioned as well as we could be, especially for the hostage plan. If we'd backed up further they'd have needed to round the corner to get to us, but we'd have been spread out more and the shaman and ranger wouldn't really be any closer to us.

Of course, if you're talking about my scouting ahead and getting two-shot by darts, yeah, that wasn't really productive. I don't think it hurt anything aside from taking me out of the battle, though; maybe they were more alert than they would have been, but the plan was always to let them know there was danger ahead.

Well, the elemental might be on a timer? We can't just summon up permanent imps in battle, can we?

The shaman's last action was something like "draw mana from his surroundings to keep his spells going," so I'm thinking he could channel to maintain it. And even if it is on a timer, letting it fire with impunity at us for its full duration is probably a pretty sweet deal on the shaman's end.

Of course, if we had good cover/fortifications/hiding spots this'd be different. Our current problem is making our stand in a rather open room with water in the middle.

So you guys that survive will get a perk or a skillpoint your choice. Feel free to shout out ideas if you are not dead. furtuka is not dead by the way.
if you choose a perk i will give you a choice from 3 to choose from according to your race or class, however anybody can choose one of the other perks most likely if i think its ok. there are some more perks from the 1'st page of this thread

at the end of the battle - Sly, shigohl, mirran, furtuka, all get one skillpoint in a skill they did not previously have, for roleplaying/activity/contribution. its not too late for the rest either.
