Any way I can get into the action late?

Or at least spectate in-game?

So that was a thing that happened. Pretty kewlness. c:

Meanwhile, throwing ancient mod ideas at Hitch! Maybe? Maybe! I dunno. It's a thing that happened because Projeck (presumably reminded by the modstream) and I'm not sure if anything will come of it, but it's there.

Ludum Dare #27 is coming up next weekend! We've got a slightly larger team for the 72-Hour Game Dev Competition this time around (5 people!), and we're hoping to stream the process if folks are interested in tagging along again. Got a month of Movie Marathon streams planned starting the weekend after LD27, so stay tuned!

For a warmup, we're working on a practice game through tomorrow. Our themes were "Lightspeed" and "Belief", and we decided on a gritty strategy game about warring philosophies in an interstellar empire.

I blame sleep deprivation.

Well they're whales that hold nothing to be objectively true, and snails that hold all things are an illusion, they have interstellar empires, and they fight each other. What more is there to know?

Those may well be some of the best concise character descriptions I have ever read.

Ludum Dare #27 begins in a bit over 4 hours! If people are around, and want to help us test the stream and such, drop by the Twitch.tv channel in about an hour or so. Or tune in over the course of the weekend to watch things take shape!

We're going to make a public release of the Space Whales vs. Snails practice game after polishing it up for a bit. Was hoping to release it to kick off the start of the LD Weekend, but we ran into a few hiccups that might push it back farther. We'll see!

3 hours to go!

Streaming some games for a bit, while the rest of the team trickles in. This is a new connection, so if peeps can swing by and help assess how awesome/terrible the stream is, that would be very spiffy indeed!
