So, internet... it has been a while. Starting to get settled in at the new job, and am putting the last bit of polish on my Final Fantasy Tactics Romhack. However, before I dive back into that
FFT Let's Play, I wanted to find some time to play/stream something with you guys.
...how about some
Phantasy Star: Blue Burst?
It's a sci-fi multiplayer adventure RPG that, despite having been dropped from the official Sega servers almost a decade ago, is now free to play on the PC via fan-run servers. It's a fun little game with puzzles, quests, and active combat -- and despite its age and low hardware requirements, is quite pretty! I figured it could be fun to run through a few Episodes of the game on the Livestream, with some of you guys tagging along if you'd care to; it's kinda like Borderlands in that you can play through solo, or with up to 3 buddies in your party. It'll be a few days until I'm set up to stream again, but if you think you might be interested in playing along, and want to check out the game first, getting set up is pretty straightforward:

Game Info:Human:
Tend to have balanced stats, without any major weaknesses. They don't posess racial special abilities, but they can do a bit of everything, no matter what their class is.
Numan:
Bio-engineered humanoids, created using the DNA of monsters. They tend to be more nimble than humans, but also more frail. They excel at using techniques no matter their class, and have innate TP regeneration.
Cast:
Androids who vary from humanoid to robotic in appearance. Innately have trap-sense, HP regeneration, immunity to poison and paralysis, and the ability to lay various traps. They tend to be stronger and tougher than humans, but can't learn or use Techniques.
A balanced warrior class that focuses on close-quarters combat. They can equip most weapon types, including many guns. Their techniques tend to be less powerful, but they are stronger and tougher than other classes.
A versatile class that specializes in ranged combat. They can equip any gun, and several other weapon types as well. They can use many techniques, and tend to be more accurate and nimble than other classes, though less tough.
A support class focused on casting techniques. They tend to be frail, and can equip only basic guns and melee weapons, but can learn any techniques. Their techniques are all innately more powerful.
