Well, that was pretty good, but it's a bit confusing if you haven't seen Season 1 in a while. I'm trying to find a good time to stream Season 1 for people, since a lot of you apparently didn't see it yet. I could do 2 hours (2 episodes) per night during the week, at about the same time (6pm) or do longer marathons Friday/Saturday/Sunday night. Let me know if you'd like to see it, and what times work best for you... and remember I'm in EST (it's 8:30 PM at the time of this posting)

In other news, apparently a small team of hackers managed to replace the old badly Engrish script of the original Final Fantasy Tactics with an almost Shakespearean revised script, and also translated/unlocked additional content only available in the Japanese release! The new dialogue is super-sexy, and surprisingly well-done; suddenly the story makes a ton more sense, and the characters and plot elements come to life in ways they never did before.

Chalk another game up to the "Things I'd rather like to LP with you guys". We could even do an Ironman run, with you guys building support characters for the party and such.

So, internet... it has been a while. Starting to get settled in at the new job, and am putting the last bit of polish on my Final Fantasy Tactics Romhack. However, before I dive back into that FFT Let's Play, I wanted to find some time to play/stream something with you guys.

...how about some Phantasy Star: Blue Burst?

It's a sci-fi multiplayer adventure RPG that, despite having been dropped from the official Sega servers almost a decade ago, is now free to play on the PC via fan-run servers. It's a fun little game with puzzles, quests, and active combat -- and despite its age and low hardware requirements, is quite pretty! I figured it could be fun to run through a few Episodes of the game on the Livestream, with some of you guys tagging along if you'd care to; it's kinda like Borderlands in that you can play through solo, or with up to 3 buddies in your party. It'll be a few days until I'm set up to stream again, but if you think you might be interested in playing along, and want to check out the game first, getting set up is pretty straightforward:

Game Setup:
Step 1: Register for SCHTHACK Server
Step 2: Download Installer (Alternative DL Mirror)
Step 3: Install. Then run via "Online.exe" (tweak settings in "SHOption.exe")
** Game Manual, for the curious.

Spoiler: Ranger Class: (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Force Class: (click to show/hide)

Hmm well, I've played with friend and I have a HUnewearl partway through the... third chapter I think? I'll get it re-downloaded and make sure I remember my log on stuff.

Also, ponies?

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

A proper stream won't be until this weekend (Depending on my schedule, Saturday afternoon or late Sunday night). HOWEVER, if folks want a pre-stream tutorial and/or want to try it out first, log into the SCHTACK server tonight. I'll be on the Stanfield ship, in Block 01.... and also Livestream Chat, for setup help.

Also, "SHOption.exe" should be in the main folder, but a lot of files are only created after running the launcher/main program (try clicking OPTIONS from the launcher).
