We could do a space stations map, them. Those usually have more guns anyway.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Yeah, space stations would work. Except for the plural bit being a tad implausible to me. Space is not a very good place to build stuff near your opponents. :P

Still.. I could see it working, actually. Why not.

Not implausible, just overcompetitive. Most things aren't built near each other in space because theres plenty more of it. But that giant circle in the middle is important dangit, so they both want it!

If they're space stations, they could be research stations from competing sides or companies trying to steal each other's research McGuffins. Like, they each have half of some information, and they need the other half the other has to make some big conclusion or something, but they both hate each other so much that they aren't willing to collaborate. So they've modified their fabricators to produce planes and guns and ammo, and their superiors have sent over some soldiers and pilots for "security".

+1

...well then. This sounds good, someone who is better at building/finding maps then I am should make/get it, probably.

If we play with some kind of Mod that introduces a new mineral resource to make, say Laser Rifles and Future Armor, we could make the asteroid in the middle filled with said mineral. Then, we can have an intergalactic gold rush, with resource gathering to build our station's Lasers and Armor (and fighters?), and warring space stations trying to ultimately steal/destroy the other team's MacGuffins!

So basically, we just recreated Cortex Command in Space using Minecraft.

Well, I'd suggest we start by setting a playing field size, and start colaborating on building the Space Station base using Creative Mode. It doesn't have to be huge, but big enough to have rooms and hallways and such, and be a bit mazelike/have internal traps (Laser grids triggered by floor sensors, etc!)

I would totally play Cortex Command in space on a minecraft engine.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

/PlasmaCraft: Plasma Rifles, Railguns, Grenades, other stuff XP
Well, not so much on the armor department. (Hazmat armor.)

As would I. :3

IC/BC has the armor covered. (though no clue on its workability for competitive SMP)

No reason it shouldn't run, though I believe it's rather lacking in the 'pew pew' department. :P

No, I meant the point about the Quantum(?) Armor having an invincible piece.

MMm..
Ban Quantum Armor then. :P

Nano Armor seems reasonable though, but I don't remember what it's made of.

Nano Armour is carbon fibres compressed into plates and surrounding energy crystals. So coal, diamonds and redstone.

Also, You should have it set to eternal night, no mobs, limited arena and no ground, so falling is certain death

No ground and limited arena area easy, I can create that in a few seconds with MCEdit. You guys can figure out the hard stuff yourself :P

Actually, placing it in The End could solve all those problems nicely.
